Michael Knowlesism should be eradicated.

The Daily Wire is such a dumpster fire.

Mr. Knowles is going to great lengths to, somewhat ineffectually, defend his "statements".

The extreme right seems to be looking for another hill to defend, after having lost on marriage equality and gay rights.

Who will they go after next?

Why not just treat people equally and with respect, and allow everyone to seek out their own happiness?

I don't feel that the argument should be about 'eradicated' because everyone knows what that means...complete elimination of [something] etc. But I wonder about the term* 'transgenderism' and its connotation here. The linked article explains that the term* should not be used in public. Is there a suggestion here that we should go back to 'Victorian' times and such things be kept 'behind closed doors', so to speak?

If it was up to the GOP, I think they would like it to be more than just 'kept behind closed doors'. I think they would prefer the door was to a cellar where it is buried in a shallow grave.

And yet it is the right-wing who are most titillated by transgenders:

Anti-LGBTQ Tennessee Lt. Gov. McNally Comments On Racy Instagram Pics of Young Gay Male

Enter Lt. Gov. Randy McNally, who it turns out has been openly leaving heart emojis and other encouraging comments under very racy pics on the instagram page of a young gay male aspiring performer named Franklyn McClur, who grew up in Knoxville – McNally is from Oak Ridge, but represents parts of Knoxville, where he lives with his wife Janice. They have 2 adult daughters. Mcnally is Roman Catholic.

I would say the it represents the comment spewed up by the bigot quoted in the headline...

Well be so bigoted. You think we should all say how wonderful it is don't you? I have no objections to anything someone wants to call themselves but I am not playing the game. Respectful of course but that is it.

Lot of 'I think...' in that comment so really just an opinion and of course you are throwing a blanket over all of the GOP, which is not realistic. Knowles is unlikely to to be representative of the GOP no more than B. Sanders is of the Democrats.

'More than 100 bills targeting LGBTQ rights and queer life — from transgender health care to drag shows — have been filed in 22 states for 2023 so far, leading advocates to expect this year will set a new record for anti-LGBTQ legislation.'  Unsurprisinly, they are all GOP.

It may not be 'all of the GOP' but considering they run 26 states, it's not far off.

Hardly 'eradication' and also as quoted '...from transgender to drag shows...' indicates, in all probability, such 'bills' were of various kinds designed to limit public viewing, particularly in the case of drag shows.
