A car fall down from a parking building on Rama 4 Road. One man was injured. Pol. Lt. Col. Sarawut Tangjairak, investigative inspector The Thung Maha Mek Police Station said that the said pickup truck, registered OT-7726, Bangkok, fell from the second floor of the parking building at a height of 2 meters. The driver missed the accelerator pedal causing the car to reverse, hit the railing and fell from the 2nd floor down to the 1st floor. Rescuers took the injured to Theptarin Hospital. Looking at the pics it seems those railings could be better designed and constructed to stop a motor vehicle impact, just as barriers on a highway are. That sounds about right. If he had been going really slow the back wheels would have dropped and the car would have stopped with the wheels hanging over the edge. It's an easy thing to do if you're a Thai driver. 90% of the traffic on Thai raod has drivers who have the same problem.
