Hua Hin sniper on the loose! Hitman with rifle sight targets ex-mayor

Police in the normally sleepy environs of Hua Hin raced to a house in Bung Nakhon sub-district where the former mayor of the area was shot by a sniper.

 

Serm Temform, 53, was feeding chickens when he was shot in the left side of the chest, the bullet exiting from the right ribs.

 

Some distance away a 9mm shell casing was found. Police believe the shooter used a long range sight to pick off his victim when he least expected it - it was 8.30 am and the politician was out on his large property.

 

The former mayor has connections as a fund raiser and election campaigner to many political parties including Palang Pracharat.

 

Police are assuming that this attack was politically motivated.

 

The victim was taken by a member of the public to Bung Nakhon hospital and then transferred to Ratchaburi hospital in an effort to save his life.

 

He was in a critical condition. Nong Plap police are investigating.

You want to snipe long range with good results you don't use 9mm, you use 7.62mm, 223mm, 308mm or 243mm/ theses some of the preferred ammo, but probably the shooter didn't had access to any of the above.

Check the serial number on the rifle and then reprint your story with those details.

I don't want to sound irreverent or totally disrespectful, but I can think of a dozen reasons why someone might want to take out a politician here. I am surprised they don't need 24/7 protection.

I heard our serial killing neighborhood PM, Hun Sen has a security detail of 5,000 men. Likely what it takes to keep him alive, as he is despised like few others. I wonder about Prayuth.

Prayuth's going to be the next Thai PM. He's not despised as much as you think.
