Popular Post HappyExpat57 Posted April 2, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 2, 2023 Isn't the 1:00 am curfew still in place for bars? 3
Popular Post Mickeymaus Posted April 2, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 2, 2023 Obviously nobody cares about the legal closing times (again)... What could be the reason? ChatGPT says: "It could be due to a number of reasons, such as the lack of enforcement or monitoring by local authorities, the influence of certain groups or individuals who may have connections to the establishments, or a general culture of non-compliance with regulations. It is important to note, however, that not all entertainment venues in Pattaya operate outside of legal closing times and there are many that adhere to the regulations set by the government." 1 3

smedly Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 I wonder how many of them rode motorbikes into parked taxi's or even parked 18 wheelers - this country is a shambles, how many lives would be saved if the police actually did their job 1 1

Can confirm that. Lots of beer bars where I'm staying. They all close at 2 a.m.

It's off 3rd Rd not far from north Rd. Never noticed and would have mixed up with a motorcycle repair shop. 2 1
Bangkok Barry Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Many social media commenters also noted the time of the incident, asking why the venue was not closed at 2AM, the legal closing time for nightlife venues in entertainment zones in Pattaya. Pattaya police did not immediately answer this query. They don't need to, do they. They are either corrupt, incompetent or both. And no-one at all would expect anything else. 1

That saying has been around for ages but it's as bad a bad joke now as it always was. There may be families visiting, but IMO it's never been a family friendly place, which always suited me. Families have the rest of Thailand to ruin so they can go there instead. 1 1
Tropposurfer Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Such a classy place. From Patt's to Patong its all going on !

Police only went to Thai bar (Yes!!) because there was a fight on. Your post actually supports the argument of the post that you seek to contradict.

A club made noise to be heard behind closed balcony door in 5th floor from 300m. Lasted until sunrise when the guests drove off with their noisy two wheelers. Around the club "townhouses", populated area! So now guess how they could do so without being closed down? 1

Taboo2 Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 What is the big deal? A stupid club fight and this is news? Happens every weekend since I started going to clubs back in 1980. Move on. 1
