Generic Aircon Remotes.

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can buy generic aircon remotes in Pattaya. I've looked around but I haven't found anything yet. I would prefer an air con shop where the attendant knows what he's talking about. Thanks.

Small shop in Tepprasit, coming from Sukhumvit it is about 100m down on the right hand side from the PTT station. Been there for years, have what you need.

I just bought a couple of these for 300 baht each at Amorn Electronics in basement of Tukcom. They had other types but as I have LG air-con this was perfect

Further to above, LG original on left vs Generic. Pretty happy they are so similar

Why bother? Just use your cellphone.

You need something to connect your phone to the aircon.

An AIRCON device on Lazada for Bht 600 does the job.

I ordered mine through Ali Express, and also an OEM one via Lazada. Chasing around the shops was too  much like hard work. You can take a photo and the Lazada App can do a search based on that. Or enter the part number into Google Search.

In days gone by I would run around looking for various items often unsuccessfully due to language barriers and no stock.Since CV 19 I find myself using Lazada/Shopee more often than not.

I have bought replacement remotes for my Mitsubishi ac before no problem.

Another place is the A/C shop on Pattaya Nua just before Fascinos on same side. Have bought from there some years ago and still working

I don't understand this reply.

Today any half azzed android has NFC feature. You can use with basically any TV, Aircon or whatever. I use my old android to control my xiaomi air purifier.

Why bother using a generic remote? Almost any decent manufacturer will have its own app on google or apple store.

You can get pretty much any controller on Lazada for around 140 baht.

I just order aircon and TV remotes from Lazada.

Lg and Samsung TV remotes worked fine and cheap.

Mitsubishi remotes for aircon were around 200 baht and work Great.

kids lose them or break them in quick order.

Yes, I use the Xiaomi app to control my air purifier, but it's a different thing to control an Air Con, which uses an Infra Red signal from the remote.

You need something like the AIRCONET+ device to control the A/C via your WiFi/phone.
