Popular Post webfact Posted June 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 6, 2023 Pattaya City-Pattaya City leaders led by Pattaya Mayor Poramese Ngampiches today, June 6th, 2023, discussed a proposal for a tourism landmark on Pattaya Beach. A meeting was held including a variety of leaders including Mr. Surat Thepchaito, Director of the Tourism and Sports Office, and Mr. Nuttawut Iamsaad, Creative Director, Siam Commercial Company Limited. In essence, the plan is to develop a landmark on Pattaya Beach, similar to the Pattaya sign on Pattaya Hill, that would encourage visitors to check-in and take selfies and provide a central point for Instagrammers, Tiktokers, and influencers to visit while promoting the city. HauptmannUK Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 Just a question of organising shipping down from Korat. 1 1
jacko45k Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 Perhaps they ought to discuss getting the darned roadworks all over the place finished..... after coming into town on The Railway Line Bypass, through roadworks that are going nowhere and fighting to get across both The Waterworks and Soi SIam CC club junctions, one gets bottlenecked a couple of times heading North out on Sukhumvit..... it's incessant. 2
Popular Post 2baht Posted June 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 6, 2023 Are'nt thieving ladyboys the landmark of Pattaya Beach? 3
save the frogs Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 - commission a renowned artist to build a sculpture - hire graffiti artists and let them run loose on the city 1
bendejo Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 Free-standing tower -- boring as hell, 20 years behind the trend, admission price included in the Chinese package deals.
Popular Post redwood1 Posted June 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 6, 2023 Well maybe if the beach was not hot as F due to lack of shade and boring too... People might still go there ....No silly vloggers needed......... If only.... 1 3
ezzra Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 Every horny, old and budgety foreigners all ready knows about Pattaya's wonders and how you can do and get thing there you can't anywhere else, and to spruik it more that it is now is impossible.
bendejo Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Maybe they should embrace P's flesh-pit rep and allow international providers, like in Macau. "You want Mongolian massage? Russian massage?" and so on. They can even have their own sois, the place is big enough. So the country will have a Sin City, which it did anyway. Like Las Vegas.
StayinThailand2much Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Don't they have one already, that ugly thing near Walking Street, next to the car park? I always see people taking pics on the beach with the 'Pattaya' sign in the background, so why another one at the beach? While we're on topic, what happened to that shrine near Soi 6? 1
RichardColeman Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 I vote for a giant arched phallus for all the ladies on beach road to take shelter under 1

Yes, and people come for the temples... Went back to Bangkok, saw somewhere (near Laem Chabang?) a statue of Shiva... With all the guys from India walking around Pattaya, and asking beach lasses 'where the bus stops' (or whatever), perhaps such a statue would be fitting.

Boyn Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Why dont they start with a nice clean safe beach and then take it from there.

Wonder how many visitors (= income) that cost them. 1

Wonder how many visitors (= income) that cost them. 2013, March was D day for Pattayas Beauitiful Promande.....Thats when the destruction began...And by January 2014 the job was pretty much finished..... Even as bad as it was, they had still left a fair number of trees on the beach side of the walkway, and a small bit of new seating...... That is until 2022.....When in 3 bloody days almost all the remaing trees were cut untill public outcry mananaged to save the trees near walking street on the beach..... A few months after this, ALL the remaning seating was removed in a single night ....Late at night when few people would be around to complain... But boy do they love love love Palm trees........ Palm trees provide very little shade and dont cool the air........So no one wants to hang on the beach any more....... No people enjoying the beach is just the way they want it.....It seems they want a empty beach.... Now only after dark when its not hot do you see numbers of people at the beach....
Mr Meeseeks Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 What about a statue of his sponsor’s patron, Kamnan Poh, the now deceased Godfather of Chonburi?
JimTripper Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 I saw one of these “vloggers” walking around the local fruit market the other day it was weird it was like everyone was on display for his needs and he does not talk to anybody just rambles to himself behind the camera
