Perhaps they ought to discuss getting the darned roadworks all over the place finished..... after coming into town on The Railway Line Bypass, through roadworks that are going nowhere and fighting to get across both The Waterworks and Soi SIam CC club junctions, one gets bottlenecked a couple of times heading North out on Sukhumvit.....  it's incessant.

Maybe they should embrace P's flesh-pit rep and allow international providers, like in Macau.

"You want Mongolian massage?  Russian massage?" and so on.  They can even have their own sois, the place is big enough.

So the country will have a Sin City, which it did anyway.  Like Las Vegas.

Don't they have one already, that ugly thing near Walking Street, next to the car park?

I always see people taking pics on the beach with the 'Pattaya' sign in the background, so why another one at the beach?

While we're on topic, what happened to that shrine near Soi 6?

that would encourage visitors to check-in and take selfies and provide a central point for Instagrammers, Tiktokers, and influencers to visit while promoting the city.

Jeezus!! is this what the world is all about now....never mind making the place clean or safe .... just make sure the selfie brigade get a good picture!!

Yes, and people come for the temples...

Went back to Bangkok, saw somewhere (near Laem Chabang?) a statue of Shiva... With all the guys from India walking around Pattaya, and asking beach lasses 'where the bus stops' (or whatever), perhaps such a statue would be fitting.

Spot on. 15 or 20 years ago the beach promenade was just lovely. Then they started to dig it up frequently... Wonder how many visitors (= income) that cost them.

2013, March was D day for Pattayas Beauitiful  Promande.....Thats when the destruction began...And by January 2014 the job was pretty much finished.....

Even as bad as it was, they had still left a fair number of trees on the beach side of the walkway, and a small bit of new seating......

That is until 2022.....When in 3 bloody days almost all the remaing trees were cut untill public outcry mananaged to save the trees near walking street on the beach.....

A few months after this, ALL the remaning seating was removed in a single night ....Late at night when few people would be around to complain...

But boy do they love love love Palm trees........

Palm trees provide very little shade and dont cool the air........So no one wants to hang on the beach any more.......

No people enjoying  the beach is just the way they want it.....It seems they want a empty beach....

Now only after dark when its not hot do you see numbers of people at the beach....
