The headlines say: Russian Tourist shot.

Then later, the Russian owned a restaurant in Thailand.

Obviously there are dots that need to be connected here.

Was he laundering money through his restaurant ? He was

obviously on someone's " Wanted " list.

Something doesn't add up here.

There is usually a reaction to an action.

The rusky must have pissed someone off....

A trait Russians seem good at

I know lots of people don't like these electric cars but this is going a bit far.

Maybe it made a noise like a Russian drone

Sorry but I have little sympathy for a nationality being shot whilst their nation continues to bomb and and kill innocent children of another country

Even if he strongly disagreed with the Putin regime? What about all those that have fled the war so as not to be conscripted?

I wonder what the perp will be charged with- a series of assaults?

Phuket is full of them, Only last week we had Russian guest check out they are not going back to Russia, he told me his story how they left, they drove and eventually ended up in Turkey where he left his car then came to Phuket, so he has gone back to Turkey to get his car then he will drive to Spain then fly to Argentina get his car shipped over, They plan to stay there, His wife is pregnant if she has the baby there it will get citizenship and so do the parents,

As he said no messing about with visa's like in Thailand

Why?  Did this man bomb anyone or kill innocent children?

Would you care to disclose your nationality, maybe we could disapprove of you as an individual for no rational reason, also?

The gunman, who eyewitnesses say appeared to be another foreign man.

How do they know he wasn't thai?, he was completely covered up.

Gait, stature, attire, maybe he spoke, maybe he lifted the visor?

So now the perspective is a little clearer on reality.

Careful...perspective and reality, not to mention reasoned rationale, don't usually go down too well with AN posters!

He has sustained several injuries as of press time. The gunman, who eyewitnesses say appeared to be another foreign man, sped away in a car.

Maybe he was on the Myrotvorets list.

He missed the one to the dome.

Sounds like an amateur.

Ditto; reports said gunman pulled up along side - so why walk around to shoot through Windshield?

Would of thought easier to shoot through drivers side window (closer range more chance of hitting target) And Kazak guy they've collared on his way out looks a bigger frame than the dude who was on the bike in CCTV still.

Well there goes the neighbourhood... Bang Tou'ski

You are assuming that all Russians support Vlad Putrid, which obviously isn't so. Don't confuse individuals with lunatic politicians, in Russia or anywhere else.

Phuket – A foreign suspect was arrested at Phuket International Airport after a Russian businessman was injured after being shot while he was in a car in Cherng Talay at a local cafe.

The Phuket Immigration Office told the Phuket Express on Thursday morning (June 8th) that the prime suspect has been arrested at a ticket counter at the international terminal in the Phuket International Airport. The foreign suspect was identified as Mr. Artur Legay, 49, a Kazakhstani national.

The suspect had been tracked by relevant agencies since yesterday afternoon after fleeing the scene following allegedly shooting the victim Aleynikov Dmitry, 44, four times around his chest. Mr. Dmitry survived and was even cognizant and able to walk and talk on his own following the incident.

...'Tourist'...(?)

To Thais, all foreigners are 'tourists'. How often do we read of Thai residents?

Boat Avenue has become little Moscow. I'm there everyday, live nearby. Not so long ago a Ukrainian got beaten up there in a restaurant by a drunk Russian.
