Trump attorney Alina Habba said the public will get a much different view of the case against former President Donald Trump when his team mounts a defense in court.

 

“There is context to everything,” she said on “Fox News Sunday.” “That context will be brought out on defense. And that’s going to be our opportunity. We have not had an opportunity to give our side.”

 

She said Trump’s legal team will counter all the material that special counsel Jack Smith presented in his 37-count indictment of the former president.

My question is why has no one thought to search his resort business in Scotland?  Discovering classified material there, OUTSIDE OF THE U.S., would be a hornet's nest in itself.  And who came around to view them?

No, I think he'll postpone and hope for a (pre emptive) pardon, if necessary by himself, since it most likely won't be tried before the next election.

Attorneys for Trump informed the Justice Department that they've not been able to locate a classified document related to Iran sought by investigators that was discussed during a recorded meeting, two people with knowledge of the case confirmed to CBS News.

It is probably more to do with the fact that if in court they repeat anything Trump has said they will be held in contempt etc for lying!
