Guilty of crimes and pleading for a lesser sentence, an embarrassment and a disgrace, nothing to be 'proud' of, luckily for him and daddy he has gotten off more serious charges so far.

An embarrassment and disgrace as it would be for any private citizen.

Mr. Weiss was part of the establishment for a very very long time! He’ll be in front of committee’s me thinks especially now the investigation is over, he and others  in the DOJ involved in the Potus son being charged wont have to hide behind answering questions because of a active investigation anymore !

Weiss was nominated to be U.S. attorney in Delaware by Trump in 2018 with the support of Delaware’s two Democratic U.S. senators. He previously served as the top deputy in the office and was interim U.S. attorney during the early years of the 2009-2017 Obama administration.

Over-site comm is gonna want to see through questioning the scope of Weiss  investigation !

“There is no way of knowing the entire scope of the investigation, but evidence seems to be mounting that Hunter Biden committed numerous federal crimes, including, but not limited to, tax fraud, money laundering, and foreign-lobbying violations,” wrote the senators.

Thanks for the letter dated September 22nd 2022. In fact, Merrick Garland gave David Weiss complete Independence to pursue the investigation of Hunter Biden. Can you offer some evidence to show that wise says otherwise?

What else would you expect from Republican Senators? " The evidence seems to be mounting" is a catchall for anyone without actual proof.

Another look over there, while PTA dictates the direction of the GOP.

Not much cause they dont have the majority! But I have a lot of faith in the house to spur political fodder !

I thought the case was closed by Weiss  after listening to the ex drug addicted sons lawyer but its not!

That unfortunate especially knowing

that Weiss will be hiding behind the infamous “ ongoing investigation” clause.

“David Weiss, the Delaware US attorney, claims the investigation is “ongoing,” but that sounds like a dodge to keep House Republicans off his back. Hunter’s lawyer and friends are treating this as the end of the story”.

But Congress has.

Notice that the justice system has no inclination to find any evidence that a bribe was either offered to or taken by the president.

It has evidence? That would be a scoop! Which evidence?

Nobody claimed he is a governments official, but he is a member of the first family, and a criminal.

But you did make the ridiculous claim that the First Family not private. Really, so the public is entitled to know everything that goes on inside the family of the President? Once again, what's your point? So, he's going to plead to 2 misdemeanors. Is there anything in those pleas that implicates a government official? As I have repeatedly noted, when it comes to evidence incriminating Joe Biden, you and the rest of the True Believers have got nothing.

President 'very proud' of his criminal son, what has he got to be proud about?

And this is proof of what, exactly? What's your point? That he loves his son?

It is the end of the story. The same offenses can't be re-litigated.

You cannot answer the question then, why be proud of a criminal son? most would be embarrassed and ashamed.

Maybe because he loves his son and he knows what a hard time he has had? And I don't know by what authority you claim to speak for most. More inflamed nonsense from you. It is to laugh.

Nonsense. Prosecutors know that it's extremely difficult to get a conviction on tax fraud. Not only do they have to prove that it was done knowingly- no so easy when the defendant had an out-of-control crack cocaine addiction - but they also know it's hard to get juries to convict when the government has already been repaid. They're going to ask where's the harm?

As for the gun charges, prosecution for that offense are very rare. What would have made it especially difficult for prosecutors is that Biden sought treatment for his addiction. Again, juries, are going to ask where's the harm?

And STILL the trumpers here on ANN (probably in the USA as well), are moaning, whining, crying and screaming how unfair it is that there is (at least in their minds) 2 levels of justice.

On the bright side this is nothing compared to if and when Trump gets convicted. Sure some convictions CAN be plea bargained, but many Federal convictions cannot.

I'm right here. And what I've been saying you've got nothing about are the accusations that Joe Biden was involved and taking bribes or committing other illegal Acts with foreign governments. And once again I'm saying it here: you've got nothing.

Me too.

Nor is out of the ordinary for those who share your beliefs of adhering to them no matter how powerfully the evidence contradicts them. Weiss was given full independence to conduct this case as he saw fit. He was appointed by Donald Trump. He was one of the few Federal attorneys allowed to remain precisely because the Biden administration didn't want to be accused of removing him to protect Hunter Biden.

You've got nothing.

he has everything he needs, including proof.

What a pity it is only in his own mind and nothing to do with reality.

Another few things that couldn't happen was that a President's business accepted payments from governments which had urgent business with the US Govt. Or that the family of a top government official got bailed out of a terrible investment by another country. A deal which made no financial sense. A country that was within the purview of that government official. A country he had extensive dealings with.  A govt official married to a daughter of that President. A daughter who was also a government official at the time that deal was concluded.

On top of it, what could also not happen is a House committee investigating a private citizen for a few miserable millions, while looking the other way when a Presidents business, or when government officials (who could be, for example, members of the President's familly) received sums that are 1000 times higher (from Sharia abiding countries who used to finance terrorism).

Wait and see how Trump pleads and his charges are for real, many of which cannot be plea bargained.
