China attacks Biden over his 'absurd and irresponsible' portrayal of Xi Jinping

Numerous recent events, including the spy balloon that flew over the United States and tensions over Taiwan, have strained relations between China and the United States.

China calls Joe Biden's remarks about Xi Jinping, the country's leader, "extremely absurd and irresponsible."

The most recent altercation occurs shortly after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken returns from a trip to Beijing with the intention of easing tensions in the increasingly strained international relationship.

Diplomatic ties have deteriorated over the past few months as a result of things like the spy balloon that flew over the US and collected data from military sites and the discovery of secret Chinese so-called police stations on American soil.

Mao Ning, a spokesperson for the foreign ministry, stated that President Biden's remarks at a California fundraiser "go totally against facts, seriously violate diplomatic protocol, and severely infringe on China's political dignity."

At a daily briefing, Ms. Mao stated, "It is a blatant political provocation."

No.

I'm saying it's pretty stupid to send someone on a trip to ease tensions and then the next day call him a dictator.

When was the USA ever friendly to CH, aside from the first kiss up during Nixon/Kissinger.

Y'all can't keep blaming everything on 1 four year administration.  Do you really think other countries care what any 'temporary' idiot in charge does or says.   As they and their policies, if not backed by Congress, are gone in 4 or 8 yrs.

Get over it, just accept Biden is one of the worst representative of the USA that the country has had in a long time.  The man struggles putting his thoughts & sentences together, and embarrasses himself every time he goes off script.

Then why are you blaming it on Biden's 3 year administration?

As for good representatives of the USA, Biden shored up the damage that his predecessor inflicted on the UN and stood beside Ukraine as opposed to his treasonous predecessor. Biden will have a legacy of being one of the most effective presidents the US has ever had. His predecessor was a laughing stock on the world stage and will be the only modern president not to have a library..

I will say both actions are for different audience. Think this is rather smart.

That's one opinion. I'd actually like to see the USA leave the UN, leave NATO, and stop supporting UA.  Concentrate their time and all that wasted money, on the USA.

Biden being a career politician, who always blames the state of the Union on his predecessor or election opponent, yet forgetting (no surprise) he's been there. part of the failed system, the whole time, and NOTHING has changed.  Go figure.

Didn't blame anything on Biden or Bidens, as well vested in CH business, but don't send your Sec of State, to talk nice and smooth things out, then insult them.

The Bidens really care ... about themselves:

oops

That would be to give Putin victory. A disaster for the world. Thanks to Biden that's much, much less likely to happen. Putin's calculation was that Trump would win and he wouldn't have to attack Ukraine to seize it, or at least any invasion would be short and swift. Since Biden won, Putin was forced to go forward with an invasion to realize his dreams of restoring the soviet union and he looks like losing it, largely because of Biden. You are on the wrong side of history and Biden will be famous long after he's passed on because of his support for world democracy and opposition to expansionist criminal dictators. Trump supported Putin because of his love for fascism and dictators.

Biden clearly dislikes dictators since he called out Xi for what he is. That's what I like, a president with guts.

Old joe went off script on that one calling xi a dictator, as explained earlier it does the US zero good to start name calling. I find it hard to believe joe's handlers were aware of his intent to insult xi, because there's no way for his people to clean up that statement, as they have been forced to do in the past on several occasions.

Next biden will be saying he's going to take xi behind the gym.

It was quite intentional I can assure you. A man of conviction who isn't just out to grift cash for his family criminal enterprise. Quite obviously the far right jibes about accepting bribes from the Chinese are from a parallel universe.

  • Popular Post

Blinken was rebuffed by Xi and this is payback. Great to see a president with the guts and the courage of his convictions stand up for his country for a change.

Oh, Comer investigating again. Biden must be shaking in his boots. You must have missed where Comer et al had to back down from the last allegations because they could produce the tapes.

Biden had to make this statement, because the Blinken visit to China was such a disaster. Blinken was humiliated and the US made to look like a beggar searching for scraps. The reaction, especially in the region, was to reduce American influence. So this is Biden trying to regain some degree of leverage. In that regard, I think he did the right thing, although I think the craven attitude towards China over the past few months has done permanent damage that cannot be repaired until the US steps up and draws a line in the sand.

Corn Pop was a tough dude. Tell me more grampa. He really showed the leader of China who's boss. Hope he was wearing his aviators when he said it, always helps to increase his toughness. That's a joke son.

Quite so, what Biden said might well be true, but its not Diplomatic, doesn't Biden understand Euphemisms?

1. Xi is most definitely a dictator.

2. It does appear he will be able to hold that post as long as he pleases, so how far off the mark was Biden anyway?

3. The CCP abhors truth. They hate it when their intentions are made public. Obfuscation, deflection, lies, manipulation, and a total lack of integrity on every level is not only their M.O., but it is all we have come to expect of this most foul government.

4. So, they reject any mention of the toxic nature of their regime, as a gambit, that some people, somewhere, will buy into their nonsense.

Biden's sent his sons off to fight for America. One died as a direct result of his service. Previous president lied about bone spurs to avoid the draft and none of his three sons ever served. On a visit to Arlington, Trump asked his secretary of state whose own son was buried there "What was in it for them?"

Unlike his son, Mr Biden never served in the US military, having received five student draft deferments and a conditional medical deferment while studying at the University of Delaware and Syracuse University in the 1960s, the latter following a physical exam in April 1968 that led to him being classified as I-Y, which meant he could only be drafted in the case of a national emergency.

When he was chosen as Mr Obama’s running-mate in 2008, a spokesperson explained that asthma had been the reason given for the exemption at the time.
