  • I don't anything real here. All fake trumped up charges. He didn't cause the riots. All he did was question the election results.

I read the document and in my lifetime I never have read something so shocking and so well laid out factually. Toast is an accurate summation.

Does any of this result in a prison term ?

The chickens have come home to roost. I guess it took them a while to find him after he moved to Florida after getting booted out of the white house.

Five of the six identified. I will make a guess that the sixth person is BANNON! Wait and see. Aloy

I'm with Pence on this one.

Today's indictment serves as an important reminder: anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be President of the United States,”

Bit early to pop the champagne here in Thailand unfortunately.

If he is found guilty, put him in prison. I have no problem with that.  Just do it in time for the GOP to have a fair chance at selecting another nominee for the 2024 election.

The intent is to prevent him from ever being president again. Those around him though, will see lots of time.

If we can get every Republican voter to read the indictment, then we would have an informed electorate.  Of course, most of said voters do not want to be informed.

Maybe but Jenna Ellis is an attorney. On the indictment the 6th person is identified as a "political consultant"

Whoever the unindicted co-conspirator is, rest assured they're not yet indicted as they are negotiating immunity for their testimony.

Legal pundits say this is because Smith wants a speedy trial.

They can be indicted at a later date.

Television?  Television?  Where??????

There is an old joke from the 1990s:

Q: what is the most dangerous place in the world?

A: the space between DT and a television camera

He could lose it and disrupt the court to make himself the center of the cameras attention, one way or the other.

Some might recall Saddam's trial.  They were grilling his guys with questions like "did you order . . . " and so on, then Saddam got impatient and stood up and said "He did what told him, what he did was really me doing this."  I think DT could lose his patience with sitting on his thumbs for a few days and blow it in this fashion.  Escorted from the courtroom in manacles.  All live on CSPN.

They are not unindicted.  If that were the case, the indictment doc would say so.  They are not yet indicted, but have an opportunity to come forward and cooperate.  If they don't, they will be indicted.

I recalled that Federal trials are not to be televised.

As Co-Conspirator 6's description could potentially apply to many in Trump's orbit, it's too early to tell who might be the person in question. There are speculations around Virginia "Ginni" Thomas — the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and founder of a consulting firm — who was found to have pressured Republican lawmakers in Arizona to choose their own electors.

There is a big difference between questioning the results, and lying about the results. He isn't being charged with causing the riots, he is being charged with trying to overturn an election.

The same as you are free to question these charges, but you are not free to say its fake, when its not fake.

One is free speech, the other is lying.

Did you read the indictments document courtesy of the grand jury?

It is not against the law to question anything and the proven sex predator and now thrice indicted criminal defendant mafioso Don is not being indicted for that.

I suggest that here is an analogy that will disprove your claim :

One can question the legitimacy of the US dollar, suggesting that all those  in circulation are  fake and this free speech is your first amendment constitutional right.

But when you start printing your own US dollars under Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, to provide for the punishment of counterfeiting the securities and current coin of the United States, you will go to jail.
