Popular Post rabas Posted August 8, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 8, 2023 If you liked Anutin's idiotic, corrupt, farang-phobic Covid vaccine disaster, you'll just love him as PM. Add Thaksin and you get a government packed with corrupt Thai billionaires, Ugh! 7 1
Popular Post JimHuaHin Posted August 8, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 8, 2023 Interesting - the red shirt party, which is really a yellowish shirt party, jumps into bed with the 'criminal'/marfia party (which has more connections to organised crime organisations in provincial Thailand than the "Godfather"). 5 1

Nothing, from what I can see. Life will go on as per normal in Thailand, people will moan in the market as they have for the last however many years since Taksins departure, and that’s it. .....and 4 years from now Move Forward will win a landslide victory and Pita will rule. 1

wazzupnow Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 if this means the return of thaksin i am all for it maybe it also means thailand will once again return to to be LOS (land of smiles) and no longer be LOB (land of bull<deleted>) anyway it will always be LOC ( land of corruption wich is fine by me) anyone can use this to each and other advantage anyway in other countries corruption is on higher levels ,here in thailand it starts at the lowest levels(our neighbourhood cop) issnt that so cute? 1 2

Popular Post JonnyF Posted August 8, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 8, 2023 While the background of this alliance is disgraceful, mired in backstabbing and completely undemocratic, my pragmatic side can't help but feel in reality this won't be so bad. 1. Prayut/Prawit finally gone (or at least put on the back row). 2. Pheu Thai in government (my second choice behind MFP). 3. Weed to stay legal. Not perfect by any means, but a long way from catastrophic. 1 3

Good move of Pheu Thai The scary thing is that to paraphase and Alice Coper song if these words you speak are true Thais are all military government stew if they do not llisten to the ANUTIN tHE VOTE IS GOING TO BE INTERESTING It is a group of people not so much interested in helping the country but in helping themselves. PT is desperate to get their lord and savior backon ground a free man that like the ugly girl they will kiss anyone. BJT has shown that in order for Anutin to stay relevant they will make any deals that they can with whoever they can. The now question is how long willl Anutin and his momney backers stay and when will they pull the plug to start the next coup attempts. Will Sretha be able to get the votes considering the hate that the militry has for Thaksin and Yingluck. Add to that the fact that you have a man that is under investigation for major tax crimes running for PM. Imagine if they vote a tax cheat or manipulator in as PM after refusing Pita and putting him through courts. The streets are not going to be very quiet and Thaksin better stay away for at least a year to make sure that Anutin does not stab him in the back.

But the level of apathy we are seeing is surprising. I assumed millions would be in the streets. Goes to show you how little I know. With this coalition, more of the same. Nothing changes, no reform, no progress. Thailand continues it's backwards slide. Woe are the Thai people. A very sad result. They've been programmed from birth to be obedient slaves to the state, they don't subscribe to the phrase "respect is earned, not given". 2 1 1

Missing is Thammanat, the miracle traveller converting flour into illegal powders mid-air, then Chalerm "the boozer" with his three lovely sons is not shown yet as well. Glad to see Phiphat, Saksayam and the rest of the flock - in essence nothing has changed except the increase in disappointment of voters. Wondering now, how well, if at all, this might go down those 14.4 million who were ....... short changed, again? 1

Good move of Pheu Thai "Anutin can be PM as he has 250 senators to support him....." Absolutely disgusting that such a situation should be there in the first place - regardless of who is in power. That would be bad news for expats as Anutin has already made his feelings clear about farangs in general. How he can work with TAT who want to see as many tourists here as possible is unclear - unless they would rather have the convoys of Chinese tour buses again, which is a possibility as TAT are obsessed with numbers - it doesn't seem to matter to them how much money they spend. Surely an expat who lives here all year round and puts app 500k per annum into the economy, puts more into the system than a bus load of penny pinching "vultures" frequenting all you can eat buffets that are included in the tour price? This "news" about Anutin coupled with the recent comments made by "Big Joke" implying that the amount of money to be deposited in a Thai bank by retirees may be increased in order to deter criminals is a big joke in itself, and comments by other officials saying they want to make Thailand an attractive and safe place for people to retire to flies in the face of what Anutin and BIg Joke seem to be advocating! Yes, folks, welcome to "even more amazing" Thailand where almost 3 months after an Election, they still haven't been able to form a Government! (a·maz·ing -adjective - causing great surprise or wonder; astonishing.) 3
