webfact Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Phang Nga – A British tourist called for help after a boat captain fell unconscious while they were in the sea together in Phang Nga. The Phuket Tourist Police told the Phuket Express on Friday (August 11th) that they were notified of the incident by the Tourist Police hotline 1155. A male British tourist, who wasn’t identified by name, had called for help and told Phuket tourist police that he had rented a long-tail boat with a boat captain from the An Pao Pier on the Yao Noi Island to visit other islands nearby. The boat captain suddenly fell unconscious and was unable to steer the boat back onto the land. The British tourist was not trained or confident enough to steer the boat on his own. That photo is not a long tail boat. I think that on a long tail, it is push right to go left and push left to go right. ???? 1 1 2
gargamon Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 Was the unconscious captain drunk by any chance? Or maybe it was the devil's weed. 1

Driving a car, anybody could do it. A boat has an amazing amount of inertia, and the precise calculations necessary to dock it, takes some skill, and some training. 3 1 1

Why were they in the sea and not on a boat? Where can I buy one of those water-resistant phones? Are they both gay? So many questions; so fewcanswers. ???? 2

Liverpool Lou Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 Wow, all the long-tail boat 'experts' are out in force today and not one of them has ever driven/piloted one. Perhaps the tourist didn't feel confident enough to guarantee the safety of his fellow passengers.

lopburi3 Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 Do not believe many tourists would have a clue how to operate a long tail boat. 1 1
