More Than Half The Senators Likely To Vote Srettha For PM

MORE THAN HALF the senators will likely vote in support of Pheu Thai candidate for prime minister Srettha Thavisin today (Aug.22), according to a source associated with senatorial whips.

 

Srettha will likely get more than enough votes to become the country’s 30th prime minister in today’s joint House/Senate meeting as far as those senators are concerned, the senatorial whip-associated source said.

 

In addition to a combined force of 314 MPs attached to 11 coalition partners led by the Pheu Thai under de facto boss Thaksin Shinawatra, the decisive number of the senators will likely endorse the real estate mogul-turned-prime ministerial contestant, known as personally associated with deposed prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

I get your intent and emotions, but inflation levels are not sky high, government debt is within pre set limits, personal debt levels are no higher than they usually are and global economic events are not only not frightening, they actually look better than they have for some time.

You have got to be kidding. Which economy are you following? Do you have any idea what the REAL situation is here, for the average Thai? Do you really think the worldwide economy is in decent shape? Talk about being out of touch.

I really don't know why it's so difficult to decide who gets the job. And for what there had been elections?

Why not sit around a table as Putin got it. The Zsar on the head and then a couple of influencers along the side. And then play monopoly or take the dice.

That's easier than any election.

Dont know where you go shopping or fill your car, but where I stay inflation levels are sky high. Thailands household debt levels  are at record highs, and with a looming Chinese real estate implosion, the global economic forcast doesnt bode well at all.

I wish I could be as relaxed as you come across.

The Washington Post is reporting that Thavisin has been elected as the new PM, via the following emailed alert:

 

Thailand chooses compromise prime minister after military blocked election winner for months after the vote

"Thai legislators appointed Srettha Thavisin of the Pheu Thai Party as prime minister after Move Forward, a progressive party that won the country's May election, was blocked from forming a government by pro-military groups.
