THE Police Hospital’s top physician said this afternoon (Aug. 23) that Pheu Thai de facto boss/former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra is now slightly better than when he arrived last night but still requires respiratory support and while able to communicates suffers from shortness of breath, Matichon newspaper said.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Sophonrat Singharu, the hospital’s chief physician, added that the team of six doctors taking care of him had forbidden visits and should his family want to move him to a private hospital this would be at the discretion of the Corrections Department.

The department did not inform the hospital in advance that they were rushing Thaksin over because their medical team had already tried to control his high blood pressure but with the sudden onset of chest tightness and low oxygen level  decided to send him here.

Common sense tells you that extreme heat or extreme cold requires the body to exert more effort to either keep cool or keep warm.   This is the reason it's important for sick people to be in a place with a comfortable room temperature.

Your choice.  Besides, I am talking about individuals who are ill or not feeling well and would be better off by conserving their energy.

He needs to play the game to ask for a sentence reduction due to health. That would be separate of a request for a Royal pardon which can only occur every 2 years.

  • Popular Post

So what sentence do you get if you kill 2000 people plus if you are not a billionaire?

  • Popular Post

It was all pre-planned. Either that or he was just suffering a little jet lag (or a "fort" stuck in cross wise.

  • Popular Post

Is it possible that he is truly unwell?  @villageidiot posted on an earlier thread that in recent candid photographs he "looked ghastly". The pic of him seated in his private jet and looking well, supposedly en route to the LOS may in fact not have been taken that day - or indeed any time recently - this would perhaps explain the change of wristwatch reported between when he was pictured on the jet and when he arrived.

Yes and what about fakers, what do they need?

Actually I wonder why Khun Thaksin is not in the Praram 9 hospital, where he is or perhaps was, a major shareholder.

He wanted to "breathe the same air as his friends" and now he "supposedly" has a lung problem and needing oxygen. A friend visited to Bangkok revcently and the air was unbelievably polluted.   Who could guess what the overall plot is now?  If ever there was a case of "watch this space" hey?

I had a mate banged up for 2 and a half years in Klong Prem. They lay head to toe on the floor in the cells. Everything was down to a bribe. Extra floor space, everything. I used to visit whenever in Bangkok. He got out on an annual royal pardon, but not a special one. You just have to wait your turn, be good, help others, maybe teach English, give massages etc etc. Can't see Tony feeling so inclined.

Sounds like he is just overworked making appointments to the cabinet.

General Prayut made a coup ousting an elected PM.... Thaksin ,

a coup  is punishable by dead sentence ...... he went straight to the Palace asking for Amnesty ...... did not have to waited for 2 years

Just to compare ...... and yes i know many anti -Thaksin don't like to hear that ....????

PM2.5 issue?

I mean is there a difference between sandstormPM 2.5 in Dubai and pollutionPM2.5?

PM issue is expensive to fix!????

Airpurifier in room or maybe a PM10 issue?

I too be sick if i all of the sudden i'll find myself locked up in a cell after being used to an affluent life style all my life, but not far is the day where the new PM of the same party of Thaksin will ask the king for a pardon, my guess is that this is already in the works and it's only a matter of time.

Don't know why you'd equate anti-Thaksin people to such a thing...? How about being anti-corruption. Does it matter if it's this habitual liar or Prayut? And with both of them, a lot can be added on top of simple corruption. Mass murder sure is taken lightly around here....
