Im suffering from chronic sinusitis infection, and it seems i have nasal polyps - been to samteivji but still no solution. anyone can recommend the best ENT doctor ? in sukhumvit - bumrungrhad or samteivji etc Thanks all

I called bumrungrhad any they recommend Asst. Prof. Dr. Prayuth Tunsuriyawong said he is the most senior for nasal polyps/sinus issues anyone heard of him ?

Do not take the hospitals recommendation, do your own research, tried looking at his bio https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/search-for-a-thailand-doctor   but it will not load, look at all the relevant bios, i would not touch any doctor that has not done time in the west trained and or resident, their bios show this( i have found even at this hospital some doctors will just dismiss you as they know best, unlike in the west you can question the doctor). hopefully Sheryl will be able to track one down;

I would also look at other hospitals by checking the doctors bio. your money you chose the doctor

I had polyps for years, took Prednisolone steroid (OTC) for a couple of weeks. GONE!

I should have added the best doctors i saw there were doctors that worked in the government hospitals but had evening/weekend clinics at Bumrungrad 

Recommend BNH on Convent. I haven't had to go there for a couple of years but have had good service and a doc (can't remember her name) who evidently knew her job (and spoke good English).

i will be glad if anyone can recommend anyone else.- the treatment i tried are nasal rinse twice a day with steroids spray,  and antihistamine but now after 6 months it came back and doctor said need to take antibiotics again- she is saying basically i need to do surgery to remove them and open the nasal cavities....... but i dont want to do a surgery. if anyone knows about it more please let me know!

I do not know how many years I suffered from "stuffed" or infected sinuses until I realized that I had in fact allergic rhinitis and the cause was too much use of Otrivin nose drops to which I had become addicted, until 5 years ago an ENT doctor recommended a corticortiroid nosespray ( Mometasone) and since then I have no more problems.

It is monsoon season, so likely there is mold in your house or apartment, you could be allergic. There is no cure for allergies but something can make them better.  Surgery also will not cure allergies. Do you have allergies?

 

Change your diet, lose weight, exercise, avoid certain food, try eating other foods, less meat maybe.  You might be allergic to certain foods, drink more water, try different thinks. More fiber.  I eat a very plain diet and that helps.

 

Xylitol works very well for me. Order online lazada. Boil a small amount of water for a couple of minutes and put in a small container with some Xylitol. Get a nasal bulb or something and applied to your sinus. It acts as cleaner. Do this twice a day for a few weeks and it should get better.
