Tour Boat Capsizes in Cheow Lan Dam in Storm: Search for Missing French Tourist
You already give the answer yourself which shows, the comment is not that strange, simple, you do NOT go on the water with the monsoon season here and you know the weather can turn in 5 minutes in disaster. Sure, the weather can turn in 5 minutes, but you will see it coming, unless you are operating out on the open water in complete obliviousness - aka negligence. The completely reliable testimony🤥 from the totally reliable tour guide🤥 was that "the sky was beautiful" when they started. That's a joke that some brown envelopes will quickly deal with. I guess it depends on one's definition of a beautiful sky! A clear sky all around does not produce heavy rains in 7 minutes! One sees squalls coming. And any operator should also know what direction storms are coming from on any given day. Three minutes in advance would have given them time to turn around and get back. There is no excuse that I can fathom. Negligence. What else is new around here.... SOP -

K bank E-mail with Tax Forms attached ?
When I came here 10 years ago, I had a Thanachart account, which was still good. I opened 2 accounts in Bangkok. I got a call from the branch saying I forgot to sign some papers. I went to the branch and the lady pushed IRS forms at me. I slid my chair back and stood up. "What is this," I asked her? She said "Obama wants to know about you." I told her that Obama can go F himself and I won't fill in or sign any of those documents, I will close my account first. I transferred all my money to Kbank. I waited 3 months. Nothing happened. I move the money back and never heard about it again. They are fishing. If you want to bite on the bait, that is your choice. -

Plan B Countries - Any Advice or Ideas ?
Not really. I think in some countries we feel soon comfortable, in others not so much. If we feel comfortable, then we should obviously do some research before we possibly move there. Many years I made holiday in Thailand, and I liked it, and I thought about moving to Thailand. And then I checked about visa regulations, work opportunities and all that. I find it strange when some people go to other countries to work there, but didn't even check how they can legally do that. Some with visa regulations for retirement, etc. -

Montreal Erupts in Violent Anti-Israel Protests
Huge mistake. If only one could go back in time...and have a do-over. The creation of the Israeli state was a huge mistake, as almost anyone can see... The state of Israel must go. It does not fit in to the area. -

Trump and his followers.
Demorats are similar to the Remainers in the UK after Brexit. In fact, they're still whinging years later. Accept it that you were hammered in the election and that the incoming government are what the majority of your citizens want. Insulting Pres Trump and his followers isn't going to sway them to your side, on the contrary, you're just boring everybody and convincing them that they made the right choice. -

Marrying a Thai Wife: Overrated or Underrated?
Marriage is for breeding. Once breeding is finished and the Spawn leaves the nest, a wife has no purpose and should be discarded in favour of a new model, which should be leased on a hourly basis. -
