A Thai woman was tragically killed when her motorbike collided with a minivan at an intersection in Pattaya on Monday morning, September 18th.

The accident was reported to Pattaya Police at 6:30 AM, prompting officers, rescue workers, and The Pattaya News to rush to the scene near Wat Bun Kanjanaram, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

There, authorities found a red Honda Wave 110 motorbike driven by the deceased victim and a Toyota minivan. The former was significantly damaged, while the latter had damage on its bumper.

‘The motorbike’ collided ???

… those pesky inanimate object again, doing things they shouldn’t !!!

or… she pulled out without looking.

The degree of absence of self preservation here is astonishing…

Another tragic completely avoidable death.

Who knows, minivans too are well known to be driven recklessly..... driver in a hurry and barely awake.

Another triumph for Pattaya policing.  This carnage will continue daily till they get serious about road safety.  Every junction, particularly those controlled by traffic lights is abused because the invisible police NEVER check the banks of CCTV screens with safety in mind.

"The degree of absence of self preservation here is astonishing… " Life is cheap in Thailand and the lack of any sense when driving a motorbike in Thailand is proof. What I find amazing is that most foreigners also adopt this very dangerous, careless, nonsensical behavior. Its as if they regress into a pariah outcast mentality when they get on their motorbike.
