Bangkok parks
It was probably just crowded because it was a Sunday and the flower show that is going on. The flower show is every year around this time. It will probably end in about another week. I never park a car there as I usually just ride my bike there and cycle a few laps around the area where bikes are permitted. Then over to Nong Bon Park for a few more laps. Nong Bon is nice because there is a lot of shade. I always enter off of Chalerm Prakiat. Whether cycling or just walking in no one has ever asked for a fee to enter nor I have seen anyone paying anywhere. Maybe that is on the other side of the park off of Srinagarindra Rd.? -

Not really. If the traffic department had posted roadway notices in the weeks before such that road users would see and had a social media campaign, then yes your point would be valid. However, the advance notice was not effective as most drivers were unaware. There were two types of conscripts: Those who had no issue with being conscripted and were prepared to do their duty when called upon and the selfish and/or cowards. The unwilling conscripted typically did non combat duties since they were not reliable and not particularly popular with those who were prepared to defend their nation. national service was a reasonable request for the people benefiting from the society to contribute something back. No. You are way off on this one. It is irresponsible to block a major artery during rush hour. There were few alternative routes. A ceremony could have been held without blocking all of the road. The ceremony was a cop out. Give the saps a ceremony so as to distract from the real issue of the failure to have prevented the tragedy. -

That only applies if you're a 180+ day resident during the year you sell your house, condo, pile of gold, etc. If you're not a resident during the year of sale then it is also not considered as income and certainly not taxable in Thailand regardless of when it's remitted. For example if you're non resident this year and sold your $2m million house and sent over $1m this year while non resident then you have zero liability on that remittance. Now, if you're audited at some point in the future then they're going to want to see the date / source of those funds and that you were non resident in the year they were 'realized' - that's all that matters - residency during the year you make the profit, not the year of remittance. -

What changed the narrative was the Wests complacency after Russia's partial withdrawal in late 2022 - and they didn't increase military spending or manufacture a lot more munitions, then the republications held up weapon supplies for months. Also diverting weapons to Israel didn't help. If pressure had been racked up on Russia, Putin would have caved in.
