I don’t think it’s an either or.

 

I believe Donald Trump will spend the rest of his life fighting court battles.

 

With a bit of luck attending court will be a chance for him to get out of his cell, if so, I expect an end to his delaying tactics.

I hope and I pray he gets locked up. Don't forget. He has already spent his entire career in court. He defrauded thousands of small contractors. He was involved in over 3,000 lawsuits, at the time he became president. 

 

Hopefully they will finally put an end to the orange madness.

Evidence, testimony from civil cases can and often does get used in following criminal cases.

 

A smart prosecutor can use this to their advantage, a smart respondent to a civil case may choose not to contest the case due to the risk of exposing themselves to criminal prosecution.

The buildings aren't being demolished. The Trump name will come off the buildings (that will increase their value) and the buildings will be sold, unfortunately, possibly to Saudi interests. The buildings will continue to operate and employ people. There may be some staff adjustment but that should be all. As for his alleged wealth, many people always guessed that 2.5 billion was a grossly inflated, pie in the sky figure. That's all part of the Trump braggadocio. My guess is that if he were liquidated, his net worth would be miniscule. Only the offspring family should be concerned because "billions" won't be of much good to him in jail. Melania has probably already taken good care of herself.

As is the critical point regarding Mar-a-Lago's status. "However, the judge noted that it is not a home and in fact Trump agreed to forever treat the property as a social club and not convert it to residences."

Therefore it cannot be valued as residential or multi residential property. It can't be developed.

This is a precursor to that. By getting him on the random inflating and deflating of the values and nature of his properties, he was able to commit bank fraud and insurance fraud. Once those are proven, it's a very simple task to demonstrate that as a result, he paid less in taxes than he was supposed to. Remember he used these same methods to claim billion dollar losses that meant he owed no tax on quite high income several times. So it will be there, just a matter of time.
