Yes thank you. But where is diesel UNDER Bht 30 / litre. It went down Bht 2 to 30.37.

And please Mr PM, forget this tax on expats remittances, please.

In Bangkok and surrounding area. The diesel/gasoline price goes up the longer away from Bangkok you get to compensate for the cost of transport.

  • And Condo owners/management never reduce their excessive cheating prices per unit for electricity, Why doesnt gov pass laws to stop the charging 100% or higher for electric ? Thailand and its BS

  • My previous unit cost was 4bht + 0.91FT - 0.9 FT discount = 4bht/unit. My new unit cost is 3.9bht + 0.67FT = 4.57bht/unit. It's actually a 12.5% increase in price for the vast majority of Th

The fact there is profiteering with energy prices ?

Only profiteering is because greedy landlords are able to con idiot renters who could say "no" and go elsewhere, but choose rather to pay more than the Government tariff but then go on social media blaming others for their own incompetence.

Fake news.  There isn't one.

Wonder if the housing developpments will obey the law ?

In most pool villa house projects in beach towns, you get and pay  the electricity from the developpers who of course charge higher rate then the government supply. It may be sensible to check  if they don't continue to cheat you despite the price dropping on the water and electric prices they bill you for your house.

Contact consumer protection department if you feel they are cheating. Or else name and shame them in social media once you get back safely home of course.

Because there was a temporary discount for the FT as you know. That was never ment to be permanent. The discount is over. You also consumed more units and the rate is not fixed but variable depending on usage. The 10% higher unit count will be all in the highest bracket of your consumption ladder. These two factors (mostly the FT) lead to a higher average rate than you had before. But without the reduced rate as per OP you'd go back to an even higher average price per unit.

I do think the reporting can be misleading beause people who don't understand how an electricity bill works will just think they should pay 10% less. It doesn't help that the reporters always just speak about some price per unit as if it was fixed.

This is an unofficial Pea tariff in English and in Thai from 2015 and gives the various rates for single and 3 phase meters.

The prices are out of date but the tariffs probably still apply.

Also IIRC poor Thais pay even less and in some cases they only pay the standing charge for the meter.

Yea I am well aware of the tariffs. While it says unofficial it's just because they like to not take any responsibility if something was mistranslated. They are the official tariffs on the offical PEA site. The link goes to the tariffs as of Januar 2023 btw, not 2015. They have changed quite a bit since 2015 ????

If BritmanToo kept his low usage for another month he would qualify for free electricity (under 50kWh) as a poor Thai as you put it ????
