Popular Post ikke1959
Bravo.. The man should be decorated. He is an example for many Thais and I hope his action will be a inspiration for others Thais to do so. They can't sue the man for defamation or so Lol 2

Popular Post spidermike007
This is a fantastic development. I have been saying from the beginning more people should shame these highly corrupt, rather evil army appointed senators. And their entire families too. I have no issues even with shaming their children in school. The kids should know who their parents really are. The should know their mom is a corrupt monster and not a decent person. In the video clip, the male chef said he was informed that the senator who failed to show up to vote for the Move Forward Party PM candidate was in the restaurant. “Go! Get out! You don’t belong here… We don’t welcome you.” and “She’s a god d*** senator. Get out of here. You’re corrupt. Go!” Brilliant stuff. The people might need to take charge now. These senators need to be declared enemies of the state. They are essentially committing treason, at this point. A list of their names and photos needs to be circulated. The people need to call them and their children, siblings, and parents out at work, at school, at restaurants, and in public. Shame them into submission. Embarrass them to no end. Make them conscious of the incredible amount of damage and erosion to democracy they are causing, and let the army know we are not buying your power mongering and greed. Remember when Cha Cha said "I will be cooperative, and honor the results". Just another of his thousands of lies to the people. It is a privately owned restaurant, and is owned by a man of courage and honor. He is shaming a criminal, army appointed senator, who is a traitor to her people. 3

Yes, and please explain how she is entitled to occupy the post of "army appointed proxy senator", who voted against the will of the people? There is nothing appropriate about her life, or her work in the senate. She and her fellow proxies are human abominations. They deserve more scorn and humiliation, not less. Bring it on. Kudos to the Thais who stand up to these people of dishonor. Edited October 2, 2023 by spidermike007
Popular Post MikeandDow
A restaurant is NOT a public place, They are private premises where the public are invited to visit on the understanding they will pay to eat a meal and follow the rules of the establishment. Sydebolle
Well, it is the shop's owner to decide if/who he serves and who not. Obviously the hairy senator has had not only friends for decades and Pita's (temporary) eradication off the political stage has been yet another bump on Thailand's road to a 21st century democracy. If, what this "Ari Alexander" did reflect the passive opinion of millions of other Thais (and apparently it does) then they might - likewise - want to resort to "vote with their feet", stand up and push for clarification on many unclear elements in Thailands political system. Is it newsworthy on this platform? Well, I leave that up to the distinguished reader; the Khunying however could, most likely, not care less - been there, done that!

He wouldn't have been so brave if his restaurant was in Bangkok. That's because he's smart. He knows where to protest without undue repercussions. And brave enough to vote w/ his feet (and fortune) to go and set up shop elsewhere where there's more freedom to his liking (and less claws to his assets.) He's also patriot, still passionate about what's going on in the land he's left behind. Last but not least a man of conviction, the pink-haired lady would no doubt have ordered a feast and left a handsome tip afterwards (being on a senator's budget. ) Etc. 48 minutes ago, Confuscious said: A restaurant is a PUBLIC place and Pornthip has the right to visit it, unless that restaurant is a PRIVATE place (club, membership card, etc.). A restaurant is a PRIVATE premise, owned and operated by private individual. (That's the reason why government owned eateries are never called "restaurant," but "canteen/cafeteria" instead, where self-service is the norm.) In the land of US of A (and also in UK, as mentioned by a brit poster earlier) there is usually a placard by the entrance to the restaurant or cash register saying "We reserve the right to refuse services to ANYONE." No reason is required, "Please leave" is enough by laws. And if customer refuses, they will be charged with trespassing. This reminds me of the Sarah Huckabee incident not long ago. "On June 22, 2018, a co-owner of The Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia, asked Sarah Huckabee Sanders, then the White House press secretary, to leave. The co-owner later cited Sanders' role in what they called the "inhumane and unethical" Trump administration in which Sanders had "publicly ..." - Wikipedia.
