I have an Apple Music subscription that was set up via AIS so the monthly payments are deducted from my AIS credit.

I really have no use for Apple Music and want to terminate the subscription.  I can find no way of doing this, either on the Apple website or on their app.

Maybe I have to get AIS to do it?  Anyone manged to do this?

Assuming you have an iPhone, go to settings, tap your name (it is the first option) , then tap the fourth option - subscriptions. Here you can easily cancel or renew any subscriptions.

Using a PC; From the menu bar at the top of the iTunes window, choose Account, then choose View My Account. Scroll to the Settings section. Next to Subscriptions, click Manage.

No, I don't have an iPhone and my PC runs Linux.  I think that I'll try to let AIS sort it, if they will.

Thanks for the suggestions anyway.

Sorted!

Hiding in the MyAIS app is the ability to cancel subscriptions that were initiated through AIS.  I'll have to pay for full month to end the subscription but that's OK.

Good luck. I tried to cancel a free subscription to Apple TV. I stopped the payment and wrote to them telling them I would sue them if they didn't cancel the subscription. Note AMEX were very helpful as I had the subscription on AMEX. They cancelled my old card and gave me a new one. If there is one company I would love to see go bankrupt it is Apple. Good luck.

Well, I received an SMS to tell me that the subscription has been successfully cancelled so maybe it has.  I'll find out in a month's time I guess.

I agree with your sentiments regarding Apple.  I have no Apple products and have no intention of getting any.  In my view, there are better options.

Unfortunately I made a mistake about 20 years ago and bought everything Apple, and for all the family, computers, laptops, a speaker (which is still fantastic),  etc etc. I wanted connectivity. Now the problem is that all the stuff breaks down at different times and I'm loathe to throw out stuff that works. Problem also is that I am getting old, and while I used Android and Windows at work 15 years ago, I no longer have the confidence to buy one and learn all over again. I feel stuck with Apple while hating them.

Apple Music and mainly Amazon TV and it's music that is free and then you must pay. Terrible choice of films on the basic subscription and any decent movie is to pay more. Cancel it unless you use the prime free delivery. If not no point on Amazon TV neither. Best is to get a TV with a satelite dish and watch all your programs.

Don’t be so defeatist. Buy second hand. No need for a large investment.

I'm happy it's resolved. But if you paid monthly fees, you might want to reach out to Apple support for a possible refund on the subscriptions you didn't make. Here's the article for how to cancel Apple Music subscription, in case anyone still needs it, and it also has a link to Apple Support that you can use to ask for a refund: https://support.apple.com/en-sg/HT212047
