Potential beyond fighting Covid-19

"Early studies suggest mRNA technology shows promise as a treatment for cancers, including melanoma and pancreatic cancer, and it’s being studied for use in vaccines for seasonal flu, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and HIV.

Other avenues of ongoing mRNA research include exploring a new avenue to treat autoimmune diseases. And mRNA technology is also being checked out as a possible alternative to gene therapy for intractable conditions such as sickle cell disease."

Simply messing with nature for money.

First, because some portion of the population (20-30% depending on the location) has refused to get vaccinated since the beginning because of bogus misinformation like that that's been posted above...

An interesting back-story of how it can be a daunting task to produce groundbreaking scientific achievement, when even your own university doesn't believe in you:

Some Academics Urge Penn To Apologize

"Katalin Karikó won this year’s Nobel Prize in Medicine alongside Drew Weissman for their research that led to the development of mRNA Covid-19 vaccines, but a post from the University of Pennsylvania—where Karikó was demoted from tenure track in 1995—claiming her as a Penn researcher angered the medical community.

...

Though initially on track to become a tenured professor, the university reportedly offered Karikó a choice to either leave or be demoted with a pay cut in 1995—which she said was “particularly horrible” because she had just been diagnosed with cancer and her husband was stuck in Hungary because of a visa issue—because her mRNA research was deemed too risky and did not attract enough grant funding.

Karikó took the demotion and continued her work, but later left her senior research investigator position at Penn (where she retains an adjunct professorship) in 2013 to serve as vice president at BioNTech—co-manufacturer of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine—because Penn refused to reinstate her to a tenure track position, reportedly considering her research “not of faculty quality.”

Yet after the Nobel Prize award, the university put out a post lauding "Penn’s historic mRNA vaccine research team”

To use a derogatory  label (anti-vax) for a person is a sign of the the labelers lack of sincerity and intellect.

For the sake of anyone's supposedly non-lacking "sincerity and intellect," "anti-vax" is not a derogatory term by any means, Such sentiment is rather in the "eye of the beholder."  It might be divisive by its nature, but not demeaning or degrading. Other examples: "communists" (vs "socialists") or "republicans" (vs "democrats" for us Yanks) - and in this case, "anti-vaxxers" (vs "vaxxers," if there is such a thing.)

A queen sneaking up the outside rank. A chess term.

As long as covid is still with us, any update on covid postings is always a welcome reminder to us with sane mind and a desire to keep the human race alive and well... Unfortunately, it irks those with delusions on theirs, brought on by god know what, who are determined to be blinded to science and subsequently have adverse reaction to any mention of vaccines/mrna - like vampires to holy water (sorry for keeping going back to the same metaphor, blame it on Hammer Studios.)

As mod has mentioned earlier, there's plenty of places for those folks to go get their chip of their shoulders. The problem is the insane ones usually think they are the smartest (one adverse effect of being deluded.) Let me be kind and turn in another metaphor, anyone can walk down a public road, however, it's not ok to dump your trash everywhere along the way (that is providing one still has the ability to distinguish what stinks and what doesn't.)

It is important, though, to distinguish the signifier and the signified, i.e. understand the difference between a term's literal meaning and what it actually conveys.

Yes, "antivaxxer" is generally a derogatory term with associated stigma. In the collective mind, this term brings to mind ideas of psychological and even mental illness, along with other less than desirable traits and attributes. These associations were fabricated over time using very effective means of communication and influence.

But to end on a more positive note, it seems this Overton window is shifting rapidly, and the Covid years were pivotal in this respect.

Ah, I see you are in the same camp as the "owl", and as for your comment about "most people wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole any more", well many millions have, and many millions will continue to do so, more so when the mRNA technology leads to treatments and cures for cancer and other incurable diseases.

Are you also a supporter of the "America's Frontline Doctors", the discredited anti-vax mob, or perhaps believe in ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine "treatments", or perhaps you believe the 2020 USA election was stolen?? Whichever one, you fit nicely into the conspiracy theory numb nuts, and I for one am so pleased that this breakthrough has been made, which will surely benefit all the human race in years to come – – even you perhaps!

That works both ways, because as long as you don't break free of that mindset which leads you to question and denigrate proven science, and the positive results thereof, with millions of lives saved, you leave yourself open for people to attack your mental abilities, and therefore your relevance will be extremely limited, as indeed we have seen here.

"Are you also a supporter of the "America's Frontline Doctors", the discredited anti-vax mob, or perhaps believe in ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine "treatments", or perhaps you believe the 2020 USA election was stolen?"

Yes to all of these questions.

"Whichever one, you fit nicely into the conspiracy theory numb nuts".

Yes, I have addressed this aspect in this thread.

Here is a question for you:

I can send you sources where thousands of people testify of their Covid jab injuries and speak of their regrets of having accepted this forced procedure, which has done considerable damage to their health. One of the biggest problems these people face is that nobody even wants to listen to them. I can't post these sources here as this forum considers them "unapproved".

Are you interested in receiving them via PM?

Unapproved........as in having no factual basis?? "Considerable damage"? Not much point really when none of this can be proven and millions of lives were saved, AND your support of America's Frontline Doctors says more about you than any of your posts ever could.................and also believing the conspiracy theory about the election puts you firmly in the camp I mentioned above.

As expected, and as always when Covid vax proponents are offered to see the damage done by the jab, you have refused. This is perfectly understandable, as it would instantly burst your bubble of falsehood. These are real people, not statistics, slogans or sweeping third-party statements.

The record shows that you had the opportunity to read about thousands of Covid jab injuries and refused to do so.

Although not addressed to me, I think I should answer.

Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine are both poisons. They are essentially used for eliminating parasites, which can be a big problem in Africa and Asia especially.

I believe AFDs have it wrong in that they promote(d) the use of 'these two' for covid. In my opinion, there is nothing that can help covid. When 'mectin' and 'droxy' have been used, there is sometimes a cross-over for parasite elimination and 'covid' improvement. The symptoms are listed as being similar. This is in my book where the confusion lay.

An incorrect diagnosis of covid, that is subsequently eased/cured by 'mectin' or 'droxy' is really often the result of parasites being eliminated from the body. Resulting in the patient feeling better. There being no covid, in the first place, but a heavy parasitic infection.

Of course this raises the question of how accurate covid infection diagnosis in third world countries actually is. If the patient can be gotten better with the parasitic drug then it was probably a parasitic infection in the first instance rather than the vague covid.

Hulda Clark wrote a book* on human parasites many years ago.. Still worth a read.

Moderna combination Covid, flu vaccine moves to final stage trial after positive data

Oct 4 2023

"Moderna on Wednesday said its combination vaccine targeting Covid and the flu will move to a final stage trial in adults ages 50 and above this year after showing positive results in an early to mid-stage study.

The biotech company hopes its shot, mRNA-1083, can win approval from regulators in 2025.

Moderna and other vaccine makers like Pfizer believe combination vaccines will simplify what people can do to protect themselves against respiratory viruses that typically surge around the same time of the year."

There is absolutely no reason to take seriously any organization just because it decides to call itself a "fact-checker".

To do so is not a rational stance, but a merely political one.

Alfred Nobel, Sweden worked in his Father's military equipment factory during the Crimean war in 1852 and he discovered dynamite and nitroglycerin based bomb applications and used his profits to start the Nobel prizes in medicine, physics, chemistry, literature and peace first awarded in 1901.

Not exactly the credentials I was expecting from the founder of the nobel prize which is supposed to be awarded to those who have conferred the greatest  benefit to humankind.

Bombs, nitroglycerin and military supplies destroy humanity which just happens to be the opposite of the nobel prize stated goal. Thus I consider this nobel prize issued for vaccines as more likely an assault on humanity rather than a benefit.
