Nothing, besides WW3, that is in any way new, surprising, or challenging to me... Yes, WW3 with nukes flying over my head, thanks to Xi or Putin pushing the red button is scary, but, yes, so is warm beer...

I firmly believe that we are witnessing the beginning of the end.

Finally can I agree with you.

Older members remember  a much different  world.

But to younger members  everything happening is as normal and predictable  as QR codes.

Why would they think any different  ?

Yes. Up yours sobriety.  Might as well continue with dissipation while I can. If I've got it wrong the virtue seekers will save my ass.

global warming is off the charts

Global warming is not off the charts. The planet has been much warmer before.????

CO2 is what plants use for growth. They, and very other species on Earth, cannot survive without it.

The rest of the world's lunacy I agree with.

Reading this post and what pops in my head. "We don't need no water let the Mother F-er burn. Burn mother f-er, burn." I guess this just shows my age and bad taste is music but the video put a smile on my face today.

Time for another five knuckle shuffle methinks from appropriate posters, you know who you are.

There have been approximately 110 billion deaths (give or take a few 10's of billions) on this planet since the evolution of Homo sapiens around 200,000 B.C.E.  So our concerns, pontificates and rants all fall into that great chasm of don't give a rats.

Isn't all that non-factual stuff called trolling?

I'm thinking about going to Bhutan during the smoke season. But they keep only offering me a private tour, just me and a Bhutanese guy in a Land Rover -for 10 days.

Bhutan is very under-booked post-covid, so maybe not enough people to scare up a tour. I found the same thing trying to book Borneo -private tour only, which does knock up the price, but only about 20%.

Anyone been there? I went in '99. Not a lot to see, but the un-deforested Himalaya's are still something I dream about. It's a pricey 5 hour flight from BKK, every other day. I'd do New Delhi on the come-back.

In the 80's, most people who you met in Thailand had been to India first. These days, it's prob reversed.

Like everyone under the sun, I am slowly but surely dying. And every day I get a bit closer to my goal. I want a nice quiet death. Preferably with a few barbs and a few cans of Sapporo black start beer.
