VAT and income / profit tax from the business all find their way to the establishment. The moment you spend money in a country, part of that ends up in the government. If you don't understand that, you're just not intelligent or experienced enough to have any discussion with. Seems that you are not intelligent enough to understand you pay also VAT on those items in your home country, and which is most likely 3 times as much as in Thailand 1 1 1

paul1804 Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Thai politics not much different to many other countries, notably the USA & Russia! The USA gets their intelligence organisation to assassinate their unwanted leaders and with the VP of the day in cohorts. In Thailand they just go into exile and when the dust has settled cruise back in.

Remember the Marcos family in the Philipines. Won every election then fled to America with millions.Remaining family members however are still popular with voters. Same with the Shinawatra clan they will corrupt the senate to ensure future elections and add to their ill gotten gains for decades. You have two Southeast Asian cultures whose leaders stole from them. From that you conclude "Asian people are blind to people that rob them". So it's because the people are stupid, is that it? Is that supposed to represent logic? 2 + 2 = 5? What, are those leaders supposed to fully disclose what they do? Seriously? Meanwhile most other cultures have had leaders who do the same thing, some a little more under the radar than others, most never get caught and are purposefully invisible to the general public. USA included. The US Supreme Court has recently been exposed as corrupt and beholden to billionaires. But it's because the American people are blind, right? You possess the classic mind of a bigot, to whom every conclusion is molded into your prejudices and favorite stereotypes. Nobody is "blind" if the corrupt leaders are simply expert con artists and able to hide their misdeeds, which means just abut all of them and not just your "Asians". 3 2 1

Eric Loh Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 PTP appointing loyalists who share the same ideologies and support their policies to the government. Why is this headline news.
Popular Post Dogmatix Posted October 16, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 16, 2023 Srettha is being sent off on endless glad handing roadshows by Thaksin, just like his alleged kik, Yingluck, before him. That leaves Thaksin's boys free to manage things without interference from Srettha. Some of these advisors are toxic like Kittirat who was an utterly incompetent finance minister and was responsible for the suicides of farmers who died like flies when Kittirat failed to pay them for the rice the had pledged under Thaksin's money spinner rice pledging scam. 1 2

A high proportion of his official and unofficial advisers, government appointees, and Cabinet colleagues are Shinawatra loyalists, friends, political allies, in-laws, or even family members. Over the past month, PM Srettha has appointed 13 official advisers mostly linked to past governments led by Thaksin Shinawatra or his sister Yingluck. Nine advisers were named on September 14: Kittiratt Na-Ranong, Tewan Liptapanlop, Pichai Chunhavajira, Supanit Chaiyawat, Pimol Srivikorn, Pichit Chuenban, Chonlatit Surasawadi, Chai Watcharong, and Surayut Thavikulwat. Srettha appointed four more on October 4: Tongthong Chandransu, Paitoon Chutimakornkul, Arthit Suriyabhivadh, and Police General Chinnapat Sarasin. PM’s official advisers Kittiratt, 65, served as deputy prime minister, finance minister, and economic czar in Yingluck’s government. Formerly a deputy Pheu Thai leader, Kittiratt has now been hired to share his expertise as Srettha’s chief adviser. Srettha had backed Kittiratt for the post of new Football Association of Thailand president but seemed to change his mind a few days before being voted in as prime minister, saying he “would be better suited to helping out the government with its work”. From the party the won it!! The UK and US didn’t bring back a fugitive in a sham hospital farce. The UK and USA dont spout racist Xenophobic garbage every day - take a long hard look at your own posts - I’m married to a Thai and have been for 15 years. Thaksin's return to Thailand was all orchestrated before he even stepped foot on Thai soil, The new government come to power and Thaksin returns to Thailand to serve only a few hours in a holding Cell, then off to a luxury hospital suite and then a pardon and reduction of his sentence. Now he is the Puppeteer of the new government, Or should I say Muppeteer, as they are all a bunch of Muppets. Soon the Tanks might be warming up again. 1 1 2
