I said the same last week, only to get replies like one should not live near bar areas. The same replies ignored the fact that bars might have moved in later than residents. And with more bars moving in, more loud music are added. Some can't live without their fix of alcohol, and nightlife. Never mind that the majority want to sleep before midnight until dawn. No regard or respect for other people. Some of them will comment soon. 3

The industry asked to extend the open hours in tourist areas and that's exactly what they got. Hahahaha.

We give everybody 10,000 THB, free! And then: But where will the money come from. Maybe we should also think about that part, maybe.
OneMoreFarang Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 And initially I was worried that the BiB will have no reason anymore to collect some extra money...

Deregulate it for medical use but opps forgot to write the laws for controling non medical use. TIT Edited November 6, 2023 by Dan O Soelling 1
jippytum Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 The government keep changing laws for personal profit without thinking long term. Cannabis laws a perfect example. Now bars can open untl 4.0 am in some areas but can not sell beer after 2.0 a m. Dumber and Dumber. Will they ever learn?? 1
phetphet Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 That will work about as well as the Cannabis only for medical purposes law 1

I think Pattaya News needed some readers and wrote a clickbait article. Since when are legal liquor selling hours till 2am anyway? Legal hours are from 11am till 2pm and 5pm till midnight. So how do bars now sell liquor outside those hours? 1
