INTERIOR MINISTER ANUTIN Charnvirakul confirmed today ( Nov.7) all entertainment venues in Bangkok and a few major tourist provinces will be legally allowed to provide alcoholic beverages to their customers until 4 a.m.

Anutin admitted that he had been earlier confused over whether these entertainment places can still provide alcoholic beverages after midnight though they may be legally allowed to open until 4 a.m. since the government has been looking to promote tourism in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chonburi and Phuket, all being primarily viewed as the country’s major tourist spots.

The interior minister has now officially confirmed that these places can provide alcoholic beverages to their customers until the closing hour which will be extended to 4 a.m. as of Dec.15.

In the days when I would frequent the nightlife areas, I never had trouble finding alcohol whatever the time; half the fun was the illicitness of it.

The Interior Ministry, headed up by former health minister Anutin Charnvirakul, says public hearings and regulatory amendments will be needed before any extended hours can be approved.

Yet it's been mentioned that trials will take place in certain areas from Dec 15th?

What's wrong with this people. Can't they just agree what's gonna happen and communicate. Not this, one day off, next day on statements.

Write a legislation and stick to it. Or is it just the usual ambiguity to make the RTP make their monetary goals.... and the system goes on, and on...

T. I. T. is an oldie...tired and well worn out...but a goodie. Still says it all after all these years, about almost everything here, in just 3 letters.

But I don't give a hoot :coffee1:

Anutin, should have stuck to the Concrete Pouring Career Path, less communication required.

Yes, nepotism suits his skill level best, that or shoeshine boy.
