Popular Post webfact Posted November 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 7, 2023 Former soapy king Chuwit Kamolvisit, a controversial Thai businessman and politician, has embarked on a journey to Scotland, via England, to receive treatment for terminal cancer. Accompanied by his daughter, who is providing care, the news has sparked an outpouring of support on social media. Earlier today, close relatives shared Chuwit’s departure from Suvarnabhumi International Airport. The 62 year old is not expected to return to Thailand for an indefinite period as he concentrates on his recovery and spends quality time with his family. His daughter, Ta Trakarntha Kamolvisit, revealed she is staying by his side, providing moral support during these challenging times. Chuwit previously revealed his battle with stage 3 liver cancer and the ongoing chemotherapy treatment he has been undergoing. Doctors estimate he has between eight months to a year and a half left. Despite his prognosis, Chuwit has chosen to live his remaining days with joy, doing what he loves, and believes that many will remember and miss him in his absence. by Nattapong Westwood Photo courtesy of KhaoSod Full story: The Thaiger 2023-11-08 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. There are hospitals around the world that have specialized treatments. Itis the same as a lot of people go to Mexico because there are treatments that are ot government appproved. Also if you were Chuwit with all the enemies he has would you trust any doctors here? 1
Popular Post ujayujay Posted November 8, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 8, 2023 I hope Chuvit doesn't take all his knowledge of the political insurgency in Thailand to his grave. All my respect for his courage! 2 1
Chris Daley Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 But he's just a joker. So is he telling the truth or crying wolf? Probably just joking what a guy. 1
Popular Post george Posted November 8, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 8, 2023 Khun Chuvit is an old friend of mine. I talked with him a month ago and he was weak, but in good mood. A real fighter, stubborn 🕺 Here a few photos when we visited a cannabis event in Bangkok. Khun Anutin was also attending. 2 2 1 1

I would ask the same question a different way: I don't begrudge anyone who's sick the notion of seeking out the best medical care that they can obtain anywhere. But you kind of have to wonder, with all that the Thai officialdom regularly trumpets about the quality of medical care in Thailand, including quite a bit of specialized stuff relating to cancer, why Chuwit felt the need to go abroad and potentially end up passing away outside his home country? Ahh, as some have suggested above, perhaps it's not the difference in foreign vs domestic cancer treatment, but possibly instead the difference in PALLIATIVE care that can be obtained abroad -- an area where Thailand is not any kind of leader. 1 1

John Drake Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 I like Chuwit. Always have. The only person I've seen here who wasn't afraid to turn over stones and watch all the gruesome insects run for cover. 1 1
