Reuters is just reporting that Israel has lost 21 soldiers today. They were apparently mining a house for demolition ( a war crime) when militants fired at a nearby tank, causing the mines to explode. There's a buddhist word to describe that.

You keep getting asked to read topics before you post, only 6 posts up on the same page. Please share how this is a war crime? In addition please share what what this "buddhist word to describe that" rather than hiding behind an innuendo?

The deadliest day so far for the IDF

Israeli military says 21 soldiers killed in Gaza

The Israeli army says 21 of its soldiers have been killed in Gaza - the deadliest day for Israeli forces since the start of their ground operation.

A spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Daniel Hagari, said it is thought a rocket-propelled grenade hit a tank near two buildings they were in.

He said the buildings exploded probably as result of mines that Israeli forces had placed there to demolish them.

The IDF says it is still investigating the details of the incident.

Hamas leaders reportedly communicating using handwritten notes carried by runners

Hamas leaders, hunkered down in subterranean bunkers in the Gaza Strip, are reportedly communicating with each other using handwritten notes carried around the war-torn territory by runners.

The memos are even enabling communication with senior officials abroad, the Saudi-owned Arabic daily Asharq Al-Awsat reported Tuesday.

The London-based outlet revealed aspects of the secret communications system used by the terror group’s chiefs to exchange messages without being detected by Israeli intelligence.

No. mining a house by itself is not a war crime. And no there is not a Buddhist word for that.

But maybe your post could be considered a forum discussion crime. A crime against forum?

It is a crime against humanity when it's collective punishment.

One suspects the word being looked for is "karma".

You apparently would like anyone that doesn't support israel to go away. Not going to happen. Around the world Palestinian supporter numbers are growing every day, massive demonstrations calling for a ceasefire.

Meanwhile, israel is slowly going broke with the cost of the conflict and it hasn't even kicked off properly in the north or the West Bank yet.

https://www.timesofisrael.com/war-is-costing-economy-some-600m-a-week-due-to-work-absence-bank-of-israel/

The absence of thousands of workers from their jobs due to the ongoing war with the Hamas terror group has been costing the Israeli economy an estimated NIS 2.3 billion ($600 million) a week, or about 6 percent of the weekly GDP, according to a research report released by the Bank of Israel on Thursday.

No surprise. Anti-semitism is the world's oldest hatred and is going nowhere.

Biden will continue funding it with American taxpayers money.

Rubbish, mining a building with no one inside because it contains military infrastructure, weapons or tunnels underneath is not collective punishment.

Oh news, war costs money, like nobody knew that. Sort of puts the ridiculous conspiracy that Israel wanted this to happen to bed then eh.

I specifically DIDN'T say "anti israeli" protests, but seems even supporting Palestinians is now anti semitic according to some on here.

BTW, IMO the world's oldest hatred predates Judaism by many thousands of years- it is hatred ( fear ) of the other that is not of the tribe.

Yet to see a 'pro-palestinian' protest which does not heavily display anti-Israel elements.

Agreed.

At the very least and it's usually much more toxic River to the Sea type stuff, they are clearly calling for Israel specifically to stop fighting and making zero demands on Hamas.

Yeah, charitably speaking probably the majority are just STUPID (they learned all they know if anything from Tik Tok) and following the fashion but as it gives aid and comfort to terrorists, Iran, etc. it is still not harmless.

I've watched so many videos circulating of fake scenes set up for propaganda purposes via unverified X accounts that then make there way onto Pro Hamas accounts, some done well, some very badly. Not saying this is one of them however but it needs more investigation. Just because its an English TV channel, the cameraman is a local Palestinian and we know the affiliation of so many so called Palestinian press in Gaza.

IDF slams UK network after claim unarmed Gazan was shot dead shortly after interview

The IDF slams a British broadcaster over a report claiming an unarmed Palestinian raising his hands in the air along with several others, including one waving a white flag, was shot dead by IDF troops in Khan Younis,

The military says the footage was edited and blasts ITV News for serving as an arm of Hamas’s propaganda effort.

The footage shows 51-year-old Ramzi Abu Sahloul being interviewed, explaining that he and the four men with him were ordered by the IDF to evacuate a building that was to be targeted by the army. Abu Sahloul says that they were trying to return to the area in order to reach his mother and brother who hadn’t managed to evacuate in time.

Really, and when do I have to ask your permission to post whatever I want as long as it is to do with the War in Israel? You go troll away from me, thanking you in advance.

I'm surprised the Israelis are allowed to bomb civilians in a foreign land on a Saturday. My Rabbi friend can't even drive his car to the next province.

One of their top religious leaders said that anything goes in a war against Palestinians.

Karim was embroiled in controversy in 2012 for his response to a question posed to him (Hebrew link) on the religious website Kipa, asking in the light of certain biblical passages if IDF soldiers, for example, were permitted to commit rape during wartime despite the general understanding that such an act is widely considered repugnant.

In his response, Karim implied that such practices, among several others that were normally prohibited — including the consumption of nonkosher food — were permitted during battle.

I'm surprised that you do not know that in Judaism there's a provision for doing things normally forbidden on s Saturday under certain circumstances. War time, emergencies etc. would qualify. Rabbits driving to other provinces would not.

I wonder if there is a provision in Judaism for blowing kids to bits because they live in Gaza? The commandment "thou shalt not kill" is pretty unambiguous.
