A Thai woman in Sattahip plunged her car into the sea at Bang Saray Beach early this morning. She claimed that she was startled after her car struck a footpath and subsequently tried to reverse her car but accidentally hit the accelerator instead.

The Sawang Rojanathammasathan Sattahip Rescue Unit responded to a car accident at a seawall at Bang Saray Beach in the Bang Saray sub-district, Sattahip district, Chonburi province, in the small hours of today, December 8th.

Upon arrival, rescue personnel discovered a severely damaged bronze Toyota Vios sedan that had plunged from a 3-meter-high seawall into the ocean. The car was partially submerged and located about 5 meters from the wall. The front and rear portions of the vehicle had become detached and were found on the shore.

She watched the movie, paid 500 baht like all the others.

I haven't laughed so much since my wife passed her driving test.

Why are Thai women such bad drivers when reversing?

Because Thai men keep telling them 'this' is six inches.

Haha, my first thought matched your/the first post!

Tip for the reporting journalist..... the closest OCEAN is quite far away from Sattahip. Meanwhile, the Gulf of Thailand is very close to the Bang Saray beach....in summary this bad driver managed to wash her car in salt water.....:clap2:

The red dotted line, that is Sattahip.

The blueish  colour, that is the ocean.

Needs to look where she is going next time.

Maybe on the phone.

I have this image of her looking over her shoulder and hitting the gas and heading the other way.

I've seen the scene.

First, there is no footpath there as she claimed.

She had to drive over a high curb, then drive 10m across sand, over another high curb before dropping 3m vertically to the beach and then carry on into the sea.

Many opportunities to brake

Her story has no credibility

Using both left and right foot I bet...  panicked and planted the accelerator.

Usually it is multi-storey car-parks that these fools end up driving out of.

Often the simples and most obvious answer is true - in this case the woman is an absolute dullard and should never have been left anywhere near a vehicle without supervision...  Luckily she didn't kill injure or anyone.

First she struck a foot path. Why? Of course it's not her fault. The foot path made all this happen
