Popular Post CharlieH Posted January 8, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2024 Former President Trump warned Friday that there will be “big trouble” if the Supreme Court does not rule in his favor on his eligibility for the 2024 presidential ballot. The Supreme Court is set to hear the Colorado case after the state’s Supreme Court determined last month that Trump should not be on the state’s primary ballot due to his involvement in the Jan. 6 insurrection. “I just hope we get fair treatment,” Trump said at an Iowa rally Friday. “Because if we don’t, our country’s in big, big trouble. Does everybody understand what I’m saying?” Trump also complained of Democrats casting doubt on the court because Trump appointed three of its justices, claiming that they are attempting to put undue political pressure on the court’s decisions. “They’re saying, ‘Oh, Trump owns the Supreme Court, he owns it. He owns it. If they make a decision for him, it will be terrible. It’ll ruin their reputations,’” he said. “‘He owns the Supreme Court. He put on three judges. He owns the Supreme Court. If they rule in his favor, it will be horrible for them. And we’ll protest at their houses.’” “That puts pressure on people to do the wrong thing. What they’re doing is no different than Bobby Knight,” he continued, referring to the legendary college basketball coach famous for raucous arguments with referees. FULL STORY 4 5
Popular Post Chomper Higgot Posted January 8, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2024 He’s a bit slow on this. His supporters are already here on this forum stating words to the effect of Trump appointed Justices on the SCOTUS will do him a solid. 4 3 1 3 1

Otherwise, it sounds like a threat. Aren't there laws about that sort of thing? During the Watergate trial, there was an incident where a courier had to deliver something to the judge in the middle of the night. When the judge answered the door he was holding a shotgun. 2 1 1

Popular Post TigerandDog Posted January 8, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2024 of the Chump appointed judges, Kavanaugh is the one that will be open to the most criticism if he votes in Chumps favour because of a legal opinion he wrote. In that published legal opinion he writes that a President has NO presidential immunity and is subject to civil and/or criminal prosecution for his actions once he is no longer in office and if the statute of limitations applies then it should be extended to make allowance for the time spent in office. So we shall see whether e backs up his own legal opinion or whether he will be a hypocrit and vote in Chumps favour. Also Williams needs to recuse himself. 8 1 1

So the conspiracy theory is being changed from ‘the Dems stole the election’ to ‘the Dems want Trump off the ballot’? So what happens when Trump is on the ballot (which is expect he will be) and he loses (again) in November? I wonder what conspiracy theory MAGA will come up with then. 3 4 1 2 1

Popular Post ozimoron Posted January 8, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2024 His reasoning is not that he is threatening the SC to rule in his favor but should they happen to do so he wins big time because the message will become that he strong armed the SC into complying. His base will eat that stuff up big time. 2 1 1

Popular Post thaipo7 Posted January 8, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2024 bendejo Ask Schumer. He had the demonstrators in front of the Supreme Justices homes after he threaten them. Remember? I think there are some that are still doing this. The last two appointments by Trump have been a disappointment for Conservative causes. Plus the Chief Justice voted against ObamaCare before he voted for it. Your point is mute. Trump is not 100% safe here. Instead of going to the Supreme Court right away, several Republicans states should have taken Biden off the ballot. He is the threat to Democracy. Open Borders and defying the Supreme Court orders that he has no he has no authority to forgive Student Loans. 2 1 4

As he lost the last two times he ran for President--in both elections the majority of the voters rejected him. The majority of the voters wanted the other candidate. Did. Not. Want. Trump. Was given the presidency, against the will of the voters, by the cursed Electoral College in 2016. Will be rejected again by the majority of the voters in 2024, if he is the GOP nominee. He's going down hill with voters. In 2016 he lost by 2 million votes. In 2020 he lost by 7 million votes, as Americans got to know him for the lying, cheating, delusional grifter he is. Loser. 1 1 3 5 1

Popular Post underbob Posted January 8, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2024 It's okay - if Trump gets his way then it solidifies the concept that any American president is a total dictator and can do whatever he wants with complete immunity which means Biden could kidnap Trump or even more extreme than that and have no liability whatsoever 1 3 1
