If loser or not, that can be right. Maybe he is. However, any PM in any country will be a kind of salesman. Their job is to engage in discussions with other nations, gain their trust and interest in buying what the country has on offer as well as investing in the country. That is actually describing the work of a salesman selling in the country and it´s products to other countries to be able to better the economy. Of course he also have duties like you describe.

What you are describing is the work of the "Minister of Trade".

That's where he belongs

Not PM.

The visa announcement was from both sides. Bit too hasty to draw conclusion.

Thailand has live in a bubble for a decade whereby Prayut limited overseas sojourn due to his lack of vision, language and competency. Srettha meeting global corporate leaders and governments and pitching for FDI should  be applauded and not doubted.

I never had a job as a sales person. ( would never stoop that low).

I could never, lie and cheat and con,  one and all.

Hit the nail with the "if you have insurance " bit!

But some of us can not get insurance due to our age, or it is ridiculously expensive.

Most insurers have "pre existing conditions nor covered" clauses, so in my, and many other people's cases - no point. Also, some insurers will not pay out if you have had the same type of claim before - e.g. I had a root canal filling and  porcelain crown treatment and a few years later had the same dental problem - the insurance company    would not pay the claim as '"You have made a similar claim before".

The Conservative Party have been trying to do away with the NHS for years and replace it with private insurance (for obvious reasons - more money for the Big Boys) The reason why it is in such dire straits IMHO is:-

(a) Underfunding and underpayment at the lower end of the nursing scale.

(b) Too many immigrants to the country claiming benefits - including free NHS treatment.
