Red veins in the nose cheeks

Featured Replies

I noticed a poster on this forum ,I won't mention his posting name for fear of embarrassment but last time I saw him I saw his nose had red veins ...I just call him Mr K

But when I saw him in Pattaya

He had red veins on his nose and a few on his cheeks  like little red snakes

What's that caused by ?

Old age ? Alcohol? Even Viagra ?

What is the treatment,is it laser ?

I think they are called broken  capillary ?

I remember my dad used to have these on his cheeks but he never drank alcohol

I always thought it was from drinking too much p_ss because my dad had similar and I have some minor.

dad was cheeks and nose ... i'm minor nose only.

Rhinophyma or rosacea, alcohol exacerbates both conditions.

President Bill Clinton has that, it was called Rosacea.  Lots of northern Europeans get it. My skin doctor lasered some of the veins and I still use metronidazole. They have metronidazole in Thailand but lately I've only seen it in shampoo which you can wash your face with.

As do spicy foods, worry, and yeast such as yogurt.

Alcohol has a very detrimental effect on your skin as can be witnessed by someone giving up alcohol for several months as their complexion changes significantly for the better.

To all of your questions: Yes. All possible, but also some kind of medication. If you want to know....why not ask him frankly?😳

I don't see well enough anymore to worry about it too much.

Trauma

My father didn't buy me a pony when I was 5; no wonder I'm bald and my face is covered in spider veins.

Or it could be the 3 liters of lao khao per day, or maybe my bag of a wife who looks (and is nasty) like Hillary with a suntan.   Could be the flushing from drinking hot drinks, eating spicy food, or slamming back the Kamagra shots to satisfy Hillary's insatiable lust.

I am curious! How did you know he was a poster here, most handles are, supposedly, anonymous, unless one is foolish enough to use ones' own name.... and use ones' own photo as an avatar.

Facial spider veins, also known as telangiectasias, are reasonably common.
