Math seems a bit strange - even if the 1.5 hours was just outbound flight time. That he was allowed to fly also seems at odds with normal practice these days. I'd have been sh!#ing it on that flight... fear level 9 unlocked as I start to suspect something like hemorrhagic ebola... One question though: If he was so visibly unwell, how come the boarding crew (gate staff) didn't raise concern ?

February 10, 20242 yr Popular Post It mentioned in the original report that his Filipina wife said that they had to hurry to the gate. Surely this wasn't the only cause for such a tragic end. I'll admit I'm not as fit as I once was and could end up a bit breathless but to cough up blood is pretty full on. I suspect some other deep medical problem. Nasty way to go and not very nice if you witnessed it all. RIP to the deceased and commiserations to his wife.
February 10, 20242 yr Scary for everyone. Wondering if it was a virus/infection that killed him... and was he contagious or not. Maybe just lung cancer or simply heart failure. Cause of death, that's what everyone really wants to know.

February 10, 20242 yr Popular Post The pilots probably have rules to follow, but a more sensible approach would have been to ask the passengers if they wanted to return to BKK with all the delays that this would involve or fly on with the body on the flight. Also, the wife would probably have appreciated not having the huge expense of transporting the body back to Germany.

Why were the passengers offered francs FFS? Typical Daily Mail drivel.
