Trump Pledges to Restore Free Speech, Labels 'Fake News' a Threat to the Nation
“Trump Pledges to Restore Free Speech, Labels 'Fake News' a Threat to the Nation” Translation: you can (and should) lie your @sses off and spread as many conspiracy theories as you want to further the MAGA cause. Anything that doesn’t fit that narrative will be labeled ‘fake news’ and those spreading this ‘fake news’ will be ridiculed, threatened and preferably prosecuted and muzzled. -

Musk the useful idiot
Less taxes for the rich and more government spending. China have a 10 year, 15, 30, 50 and 100 year plan, Usa? Politicians who try their best to undermine each other to claim they had the best results in one year, two years is F ridiculous and here you are advocating for one of the worst president's in history. Do You Believe: Next year, and the next, will be HOTTER than 2024?
Yes, no borders but no means of transport either and they didn't know whether it was any better elsewhere, it took several generations just to move a few hundred kilometers, following herd movements. Today adaptions will be by means of technology. In Alice Springs in Australia the Opel miners built homes underground, it is also possible to build underwater cities, if that were to become necessary mankind would obviously be thinned out as would many species of mammals. Strangely enough it is now thought that several species of dinosaur survived thousands of years, maybe a million, after the extinction event, life isn't so easily wiped out, sentient beings are the only thing giving qualia to the universe. -

Trump's Fiery Immigration Rhetoric Signals Potential for Turbulent Future
This post misrepresents Mexico in particular. Mexico is one of the wealthiest countries in the world. In fact, here in this list it's number 15, above Switzerland, Brazil, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Belgium, Singapore, Austria, Norway, and Denmark. It's 16 places higher than Thailand. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_total_wealth You also must not travel to Mexico very often. For over the past two decades, the country has modernized drastically. Mexican port facilities, telecommunications, railway transportation, and urban mass transit are not only the equal of the US but arguably better in many instances. Mexico has the advantage of an appealing and comfortable geography, huge oil, gold, and silver reserves, along with other minerals. It also enjoys a favorable location next to the world's largest economy. To picture Mexicans as uneducated, impoverished peons is a picture from 50 years ago. In fact it wasn't true 25 years ago, when I taught Mexican exchange students in my graduate classes at the University of Texas at Dallas. This post reflects a severe misunderstanding of illegal immigration, which is largely fueled by people from central and south america, Asia, and the caribbean. The fact is Mexican and US immigration patterns have largely stabilized over the past two decades. -

Latest carmaker to scale back its EV ambitions amid slowing sales
The price of some EV models on UK car supermarket's websites are plummeting showing just how slow new sales are, and the unrealistic price points, eg: Vauxhall's EV Mocha range are now being offered for nearly 50% of their list price, (£20k - £22k GBP v £38k to £44k depending on model spec), on CarWow. Main dealers still trying it on with their higher unrealistic pricing however. Kindof shows how parlous and unrealistic the industry is, outside of the company car market?? -

Pickup Truck Flips, Killing One and Injuring Four in Chonburi Accident
Over inflated driving ability and massive dose of stupidity. Luckily the driver killed no other innocents. I also wonder how many Policemen (highway police or otherwise) the pickup truck driver passed, without them so much as raising an eyebrow. Most Thai drivers are perfectly good drivers - but its the higher incident of outright lunatics that make the roads more dangerous for everyone. Higher road fatality stats are primarily motorcyclists - usually killing themselves without a helmet - but the stats for 4 wheeled vehicles show elevated road fatalities compared to Europe, a lot of that is down to road design etc but its also a higher number of morons driving recklessly who are the primary contributors to these fatality sats... Where is could be guessed that in Europe approx 0.5% of drivers are dangerous idiots, its closer to 2-5% here.. and that 2-5% seem completely un-policed. Note: Thats just anecdotal - visual observation - but it seems to hold true that the lunatics on the road here are most certainly not in the majority, yet they get away with their dangerous antics as the police seem too lazy to be bothered to catch them (red light jumpers, crazy erratic drivers, speeding etc).
