Nonsense, most Thai families have push bikes. The fancy "cycles" these days seem to encourage reckless riding with riders in black clothing and black bikes, and some without working lights. Thai roads are dangerous at any time of day or night.

I was going to post a similar comment.... pushbikes are indeed more common these days. My Mrs wanted one, and got one, to make her trips to the market more healthy for her. Although that has become a bit less frequent as the novelty wore off. But I certainly see others out on their push bikes.

Greetings, man...

A free spirit on a midnight ride;

Air in his hair;

Feathers ruffled with outstretched wings;

On a fast smooth glide through stars and galaxies wide & narrow...

A wrong turn, a strong wind and two stars collide;

What a man and gentleman we had here, cycling in old age, undeterred by sore joints or old bones;

A man who left us this day, on a high horse;

Perchance getting a nudge into the heavenly highway, where he is, even now, astride a iron horse riding towards heaven & those pearly gates...

Thanks for your ride man, sorry about the detour, happy and safe journeys await you on your trip to the stars...
