Fact-checking Trump and Miller’s claims of a ‘migrant invasion’ in California
Hey @spidermike007 how about supporting your claim that: "...multiple studies have shown that illegal immigrants are net positive to the US economy. Most of them pay taxes and contribute to Social Security and they'll never see any return or any benefits on that money." You won't, because you can't, because it's a lie. You might find a few phony articles that say as much, but you will not find a legitimate study. -

Trump Shifts Deportation Focus, Pausing Raids on Farms, Hotels and Eateries
I understand that the complaints from the food and restaurants sector are being led by Taco Bell! Rumour has it that they have suspended his loyalty programme membership. McDonald's, in a show of solidarity, are considering similar actions - oh the horror! -

Accident Cement Truck Crushes Two Girls Outside Petrol Station in Prachinburi
The driver has mirrors on his truck to see if vehicles are on his left. As a professional driver he should be using his mirrors. He knew that he he was turning, he should have known those girls were on his inside well before turning left. He killed this young girl, I hope the other girl survives. -

Trump Shifts Deportation Focus, Pausing Raids on Farms, Hotels and Eateries
Quick! Have Trump send in the Marines on this one too... Obviously Americans wanted these jobs but the railroad industry wouldn't give them!!! The Chinese Railroad Workers (1865 — 1869) From 1865-1869, 12,000 Chinese immigrants constructed the western section of the transcontinental railroad – one of the greatest engineering feats in American history. Their efforts, which connected the western United States to the eastern United States, laid the foundation for the extraordinary economic prosperity enjoyed by the United States in the years that followed. Many of these workers risked their lives and perished during the harsh winters and dangerous working conditions. They faced prejudice, low wages and social isolation. Despite these challenges, they courageously took a stand to organize for fairer wages and safer working conditions. Their efforts not only bridged our nation together, they advanced the cause of good, safe jobs for all workers, immigrant and native workers alike. [emphasis added] https://www.dol.gov/general/aboutdol/hallofhonor/2014_railroad "Chinese laborers made up roughly 80% of the workforce of the Central Pacific Railroad company, yet their contributions to the Transcontinental Railroad are often overlooked. They faced harsher work conditions and lower pay than their White counterparts. https://asianamericanedu.org/chinese-labor-strike.html Got news for the MAGA types here -- America was BUILT in many ways through the decades on the backs of hard work by immigrants, undocumented and otherwise.... And that's not even getting to the black slaves from Africa that were imported to what became the U.S. to work the fields and serve as domestic help as slaves. To try to deny that is simply to ignore the history of the U.S.
