When does the action start in Pattaya?

Sounds like your the young party all night type.

Then "clubs" like Republic or MYST are for you.

The usually don't open before 11 PM.

(I don't speak from experience but from Instagram).

I am a boring old fart and the action around Soi Buakhao/LK etc. at 10 PM is enough for me.

But I agree that many places are quiet now even at that time (was in Pattaya until last week).

No you are not a boring old fart 😄

Some areas in Pattaya just have an unusual feel to them.

Some pubs / bars look like retirement homes. You know.

Not very stimulating. But that's alright.

As for me, I'm not a clubber nor am I young (40).

Or his wallet.   If you're not having fun in Pattaya just spend more money.  Go forth into that herd of bored, sullen bar girls and make it rain.  All of your frowns will be turned upside do

Paying for sex is like paying a girl to laugh at your jokes, meaningless

That is a ludicrous analogy. Sex is no joke.

I am a young 68 and avoid like the plague old guys bars.  Vests, dirty toenails and nasal hair (inside and out) are not my scene.......

Plus forest eyebrows and comments like "It's like nothing like back home"

Tongue in cheek......

And for a moment I thought you were asking about the water splashing ,baby powder in your mouth and nose action. I am still traumatized from the one year I didn't flee Thailand over Songkran.

Agree. Once in a lifetime experience is more than enough especially in Pattaya. Foolishly I was there twice over Songkran.

Something wrong with mankind then if the oldest profession is in meaningless business - which seems to be thriving.

The laughing on jokes business seems fairly marginal, at least I have not come across that yet.

Thus, your analogy does not sound solid

When you have bought many lady drinks and in to negotiating which of or how many of the ladies will accompany you for the rest of the night. The last hurdle is the bar fine and paying your enormous checkbin before being allowed to leave the premises

Crime, disease, mental illness and misery are also thriving, does not mean they are desirable anymore the the sex industry.

Involuntary suffering of any kind indeed is not desirable, on the contrary.

However thats pretty distant from voluntary exchange of money against sex. Especially when the exchange makes both parties happy. Seems many happy women and men in Pattaya as a result!

Be careful you don't fall off that high chair............

I like to visit prostitutes, but I am most certainly not a desperate loser.

How does that fit with your stereotyping?

Seems a blinkered view...... not the 'Pretty Woman' movie take on things.........

Or the sensible one who needs gratification without the tiresome business of involvement?

Many points of view are acceptable except perhaps your censorious one.

Hey man! If you want to have fun with the girls in the bars, you also have to give them an attitude that gives them the expression you want to party. To me that attitude seems to be far gone.
