EU British Man Arrested Over Staged 'Wedding' with Nine-Year-Old at Disneyland Paris
Phew….good job you pointed out that his name is of Indian origin in order to prove that he’s, sort of, not a Brit. Nah, he’s a Brit, born and bred. Own it! -

Can no longer do Wise transfers to my personal account at KBank
Two months ago, my Mrs & I opened a Joint account at Bkk Bank, and when I tried WISE, the dosh was returned saying Incorrect Bank Data, because I had simply left MY name as the recipient. I now send it to my original single account, and transfer to Joint as soon as it arrives. Some may ask why have a Joint account. So that when I pop my clogs, she can legally withdraw from it. -

Report Drunken Teen's Meltdown at Bangkok’s Khao San Road
Picture courtesy of Bangkok Post A Turkish teen caused chaos on Bangkok’s Khao San Road after losing his passport, leading to a violent altercation and arrest. In the early hours of yesterday, an 18-year-old Turkish tourist's outburst turned violent on Bangkok’s famous backpacker strip, leaving onlookers stunned and police hauling him in for questioning at Chanasongkram station. Witnesses report the young man, heavily intoxicated, approached a group of Thai women waiting for their Grab ride. After being politely ignored, he left, returning more agitated, shouting about his missing passport and funds. “He slapped my shoulder, so I slapped him back,” explained Pink, a 22-year-old involved in the incident. “He was clearly drunk. We just wanted to go home.” The situation escalated until a local tuk tuk driver and bystanders restrained him, holding him for police arrival. Authorities revealed the teen had been wandering the area, possibly involved in other disturbances, including injuring a foreign woman with a stab. Ironically, his expired passport was later found and handed in by a taxi driver, adding a twist to the night's events. The unnamed Turkish national remains in custody, facing charges as investigations proceed. Police remind tourists that foreign status doesn’t exempt them from Thai laws: “Drunk or not, violence has consequences.” Adapted by ASEAN Now from The Thaiger 2025-06-25
