Acting on public reports, Patong Police inspected a barbershop in Patong, Thailand amid allegations of an illegal foreign worker. The complaint was received by police on Saturday, April 27th, via online means, leading to an inspection at 2:30 PM.

However, the inspection found no foreign workers on the premises. Two Thai men and a Thai woman were the only employees present.

Hair-styling is a protected occupation in Thailand, meaning foreigners need a work permit and visa, both of which are unattainable for this specific job.

Patong Police, despite the initial findings, pledged to keep a close eye on the unnamed shop along with other locations. They further stressed the crucial need for foreign nationals to own a valid work permit to work legally in Thailand. The presence of texts in Arabic and other foreign languages in the shop was explained by the staff to cater to customers, not employees.

There's a barber shop staffed by Arabs at a very prominent location - literally within the eye line of a police box - opposite Sukhumvit Soi 4.

Just report it to the Phuket police, patong police will happily pay them a visit.

Cops are doing well 15 trying to bust a 61yr old lady, for drugs, and an invasive search no gloves. NOTHING FOUND.

And now Raiding a Barbers for illegal workers NOTHING FOUND.

There are certain jobs reserved for Thai workers. In my hometown in the UK the largest employer (3,000 employees) has pretty much replaced it's local (unskilled) workforce with people from Eastern Europe, I think that happened very gradually. It used to be the one place where if you couldn't get a job anywhere else, you could get one there.

What can happen if there isn't some kind of control over such things.

Oki-doki then

please may we see that "online means"?

Just think it as some sort of google forms >>> can send few thousands "reports" per day. How would those nice guys act?

and nothing - much like your comment

Mine was tongue in cheek. I replied to a poster complaining about an illegal worker in Bangkok.
