Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin is set to embark on a diplomatic journey to France and Italy from May 15 to 21, followed by a visit to Japan from May 22 to 24. The main aims encompass boosting investment in Thailand, utilizing the nation’s influence, and fostering collaboration across various sectors like trade, industry, and energy.

In France, conversations are underway for the assembly of the Thailand-France Business Forum to cultivate partnerships between both countries' private enterprises. Srettha aims to strengthen ties in Italy across strategic domains in alignment with the "Ignite Thailand 2025" initiative.

During the Japan leg of the trip, the Thai PM will engage in the Nikkei Forum and engage in dialogues with Japanese business leaders, particularly in the realms of food, logistics, and finance.

"The journey presents a golden chance to bolster investment within Thailand," declared the prime minister enthusiastically.

utilizing the nation’s influence

lol what does that mean?

Never thought I’d hate a face more than Phrayut!!!

Who does he think he is anyway? Those places will want to see the head honcho to do real business, not this lowly clown. He is better served to at least appear to want to spend time here to sort out the nations ills.

More air miles.

More money wasted.

More promises not to keep.

More silly statements.

And the travelling circus continues.

Meanwhile, back at home, the debts and the problems continue to grow.

Srettha wants to see the world at taxpayer's expenses , reside in 5 star hotels only , have the best food possible and be worshipped as a PM .

Understandable .

Better he does that now , he won't be able to continue after the next elections .

Hopefully .

He has Thaksin to do that.

You can't win as a politician, least of all as a PM.

If you stay at home, people will say you should be travelling to spread the word about the country's revolutionary new approach to life in the post-everything world. And if you travel to do just that, you get the comments above. ...

How shall that work?

And is the investment then connected to Thaksin's empire?😵‍💫

off course never a feedback if all those free trips on a private plane with family had ever had any positive effects on the economy, maybe just for himself and his cronies in high places...

european politicians maybe should do the same

ask him for his WORK PERMIT and 4 european people working for every thai national that he brings on his shopping spree

And he will travel with a Plane loaded with a massive Entourage; all on board for a free holiday.  Same thing happens with every Goverment Thailand has !

The French visit. Can I try the 1982 Cheval Blanc? It is one of the rarest of your Bordeaux, correct? I can't find it in Thailand, as out wine taxes are prohibitively high.

The Italian visit. I love Barolo. Can I try the 2009 Aldo Contorno Brunate? I drink it often, as I own a couple of custom agents, and import it by the case.

Consider it practice for when he is replaced as PM by one of Tony's relations when he will be consoled by appointment to Foreign Minister.

It is weird that we hate this guy more than Prayut already. Such a fraud

Will he at least make the long stay visa issues more simple for citizens from these countries and have Thai BOI stop asking and fussing all over for this and that document ?

And perhaps check through other people,  how nicely  the thai embassies function so well,  where they do not  answer e mails and quite rarely answer and give proper replies on the phone....

maybe they are looking for the Redbull heir ?

You people don't get it. He has a huge inventory of unsold luxury condos he needs to get rid of and his only hope is that the foreigners will be dumb enough to buy them. That's why he keeps going overseas. Once a salesman, always a salesman.
