As you get older probably better travel as light as possible, suitcase on wheels, light carry bag.

Keep doing exercise, i know very fit 70 and 80 yos.

I used to walk 8km daily in Pattaya by the beach, bali hai and woods to Pratumnak hill, now cycle 100km 4 days a week and golf 2 days. I do see too many expats just sitting about, usually at Big C Extra

To answer the original question -

(From another article on AN today)

Yeah, but think it was B.S. Even if you are strapped to a bed you can still be allowed on an airplane. My guess is that story was just some drivel Thaiger made to make you sympathize with them and help an ongoing gofundme or worse. I know for sure anyone can walk into a clinic and get a doctors release to fly if offering the doctor money.

I'm just not seeing the small condo-problem.

I eat all but breakfast out and I spend 95% of my condo-time lying in the king-sized bed.

How would more square footage build my self-esteem?

So everyday your spending to buy breakfast out because your condo is a  21sqm with no cooking stove

You'd be better to spend more rent  and cook yourself

I am perfectly capable of putting peanut butter or cheddar cheese on two slices of bread and kettling up a green tea.

But usually, I go down the hall to my wife's apartment where she puts a scrambled egg and some avocado slices on some toast and I drink a filter coffee.

I have a Netspresso and plenty of 28 baht coffee pods, but I have yet to plug it in. Maybe if she comes over, but why would she? I tried to give it to her. She prefers the pour over ritual.

It's great to live, as if on a cruise ship, in a tiny, easy to keep clean space in happenin' Nimman, Chiang Mai; to have no stuff beyond a dozen La Coste polo shirts and a small Marshall bluetooth speaker. I can hop on one foot to six great restaurants for dinner.

I still own a 5 bedroom house back in the states that's now an air bnb. The relief of being free of all that stuff is tremendous.

I am glad that fave poster-Jim is enjoying the heady luxury of a houseplant, but when people are derogatory about tiny apartments, I feel sorry for them. They don't know what they're missing. It's just a cheap shot by no insult-game losers.

Wow, I have gained 10yrs in 3 hours !!

You really need to stop the trollish bullShit, you are a complete fool.

But humour me, can you link the post were I said I was 33/drive a sports car/own a bussiness/am in a wheel chair ?

Surely it against forum rules to post utter lies about another forum member.

This exchange would be a great example of what I am talking about in the attention-span-is -gone-for-good thread.

Nobody is talking about traveling when old now, or even breakfast-making.

It's just what about meeeee?

How do you travel by yourself at 80?

Here's a helpful hint. Ask the airline for a wheelchair service- has to be done ahead of check in. Avoid the q's at immigration, get helped going onto the plane and going off- get to go on before everyone else.

Thai Air don't even need a Dr's certificate ( at least they didn't when I went - check when you book your ticket ).
