I think you'll find that scoring two goals in extra time doesn't mean you've won the championships.

  • Yes, though in the absence of a 'Thumbs down' dislike/disagree option then the Sad, LOL and Confused emoticons tend to get used as alternatives. I don't really understand why there isn't a thumbs down

  • If you were a teenage girl I would tell you not to worry about it dear.   Any grown man that worries about emotional stickers has a problem. The war veterans must be rolling in their graves.

Some people 'troll others' due to personal conflict from a previous thread, regardless of the content of the specific post they are adding the emoticon to.

I have seen this in others - some posters make an excellent series of points, but they get the 'laughing, confused or Sad' emoticon...  its often obvious which posters are trolling who.

I have a good suspicion of who posts such emoticons in my comments - those posters are already blocked because of their trolling, so I guess this is their only way of getting in a childish cheap-shot - its easily ignored, but I'd like to see the anonymity removed as I think the behavior is rather gutless.

So "gutless" as opposed to the OP's "spineless".

And it takes 115 words to explain how they are "easily ignored".

I see.

Haha - you went as far as to copy and paste my comment into Chat GPT and prompt for a word count just to try and score a point !!!...   :giggle:

You replied with many words.

It's so passive aggressive and weak.

It screams, I have no argument game so let me throw this down and run away.

Everyone knows who I am talking about.

I, for one, do not know whom you are talking about.

P.S. This adds one more reason to the list I posted here:

"3. I doubt the accracy or veracity of your post"

It is funny that you can give confused emoticons to anyone and as often as you like but not a moderator

Is this really a problem for anybody to be stalked on an anonymous internet forum?

I am sure there are some people in this forum who don't like me, and maybe they click often on "bad" reactions.

Do I care? No.

Do I try to find out who is stalking me? No. Why should I? I also don't care if a dog on the other side of the road barks.

What if one gives sad emojis to the same 5 people? Not stalking just don't like them.

IMHO only a really sad person would do that.

Imagine reading posts, or maybe not reading them, just scrolling, and then, when you see username 1, 2 ... click on the sad emoji. And then the next, and the next. Really?

Probably I use sad from time to time for the same users because they write such sad comments. But I wouldn't 5 minutes later who I gave that emoji.

Thank you! Have a wonderful day 🫠

Hope you feel a little bit better now, knowing you put some effort and energy bothering doing so.

You have given me more than 25, and I have given you none. I manage to write my opinion, or ask questions if there is something unclear about your post I reply to.

Still it is a good thread to prove a point, and how negatively it can affect the forum from replying when you have valid points and disagreements. But considering the wide broad followers here, nothing more to expect. Quite a few typewriter warriors here

Can you back that claim with  anything factual or any evidence  ?

You claim isn't true

If I become moderator, I can see, or any moderator for that sake

You are claiming that a Moderator has told you that I have been giving you certain emojis ?

Is that what you are saying ?

Where do you get that from? I just said, a moderator can see who gives who emojies, based on me being a moderator on another forum back in the days. You would be surprised what kind of information and what a moderator can access.

If you say you havent given me negative emojies, I take your word and apoligies if I was wrong.

I have never used the sad/confused emoji's ever. It's just too whiney.

I like the big red heart. If you get one, it may very well be me.

Interesting. I didn't know that.

Perhaps it is to protect posters with a low intellectual level and as moderators are probably supposed to be unbiased they should not be exposed to the revelation of that trait by a poster.

The sad emoticon cannot possibly mean a dislike of the poster. Someone using it with that intention merely publicly displays his ignorance and lack of intelligence.

As opposed to a purple 💜 which I must say is now used by the transexuals community

Please use other colours of "hearts" too

One must also "study" the colours of hearts if they intend to use them

An interesting subject you bring up on "hearts" 💝 and the meaning of different colours?

A yellow heart? A black 🖤 heart?

Yeah I don't give any either, feels a cowardly thing to do

Is the confused emotion beneficial for the forum?

YES, some members here have never matured, still in their childhood.

They get amused, get some strange satisfaction by sending these annoying emoji's.

Ah yes, emoticons, the non-thinking members alternative to organising thoughts, constructing an argument and producing a couple of sentences in writing.

Or possibly the thinking members ultimate finger at the posts not worthy of organizing thoughts, constructing an argument and producing a couple of sentences in writing.
