When i resided here in the 80's and you had stayed more than 180days to leave you had to have a tax exempt certificate. If you proved to the revenue dept your income came from outside you got the certificate free othewise it was i think about 2500 baht fee for the certificate to leave the country. Anun Pryachum the best PM Thsiland ever had cancelled it when he became PM. So this tax idea for foreigners is not good but it's not new. -

There's ferries from Phuket to ao nang already. Upgrading piers at koh yao's and expanding car park facilities there, please. If there's washouts on the roads, when do these happen on this route btw, i would not want to be on the seas. -

Elsewhere the picture is very different. It is not about GDP it is about the 1,000s of expats living locally. There can be no income tax based on residentcy without representation & benefits. In the rural areas the 65K-150K a month typically spent locally will be lost if expats leave - it will hurt the locals personally big time. -

It says he met a Thai woman in Krapi. I have heard of farangs working as waiters and on farms while overstaying their visas. The average Thai person doesn't usually understand about farangs visa requirement. I can remember a Thai friend asking me how long i had lived in Thailand, I replied 11 years. He said "Oh! You are Thai people now, you can stay forever". I said " no I can't as I can't read and write Thai". He replied "neither can 40% of Thai people ha!" -

this is the real reason why he uses penis size in his pricing. Any Thai man would be shamed if they do not pay the full amount claiming their pecker is huge. Does not matter the actual size. To verbally or to be seen paying less would make them the center of shame. This pricing lists caters to ensure he gets paid full price from everyone. -

I mentioned the tax issue to my girlfriend the other day. Her response was I don't think foreigners will stand for that, she also asked if we will get free healthcare and I said no, she can't believe it
