Trump Jan 6, 2021: We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.

Trump July 14, 2024: It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country.

Always a double standard with Trump. Violence is fine when it favors him. Otherwise it's bad.

You do realize that when someone says they are going to "fight" for something that does not necessarily mean that they are going to use violence... right?   I take it in your very literal world people do not use metaphors and people "ask nicely for social justice" rather than "fighting for social justice"?

Not only that, all Trump apologists all sound the same. "What did he do wrong? Show me the proof?" I've been hearing these feeble attempts to distract from the truth for years.  They will also go off on tangents to try and waylay you with lots of irrelevant whataboutisms until you get so disgusted with the level of un-intellectuality that you just walk away shaking your head in bewilderment.

So if anyone disagrees with you they are a Trump apologists.  Facts are facts no mater whether you support Trump or not.

Oh, great, now the hand picked links start. Anyone can find a link to prove any false narrative they want. Keep it simple:

"Fight like hell"

"Trial by combat"

Unless English isn't your first language there is no way you can misinterpret those words.

Let's look at it in reverse. If Trump and his motley crew of Giuliani, etal hadn't gotten up on the stage on Jan 6, and told his mob of supporters to march down to the capital, with weapons in hand, then the various innocent people killed protecting the Capitol that day would still be alive. If you can't grasp those facts and that reality that he caused that violence, and insist on seeing it any other way, then you are living in a hopeless, kool-aid infused bubble.

"the FBI has so far found no evidence that he or people directly around him were involved in organizing the violence, according to four current and former law enforcement officials."  Perhaps you can give the FBI some English language lessons.

Why are you adding words? Nobody claimed he organized it, but people do claim he did nothing to prevent and did encourage.

There hasn't been a political assassination attempt like this since Reagan in 1981. That's nearly 45 years ago. There also hasn't been a level of political violence in the US prior to Trump as president (Charlottesville, the Jan 6 insurrection, etc). And now this attempt on his life. What does that tell you?

Politics aside, it tells you that wherever this person goes, that violence follows. He brings out the worst in people and society. He divides people, encourages hate, racism, etc. One can only view the events of the last 24 hours as cause and effect.

Victim blaming.

You mean a fighter like when he staged a traitorous, seditious, treasonous attack on the US Capitol building that killed a number of police officers and could have ended up killing his vice president too?

I'm amazed how people are able to parse reality, bend the truth, and come up with an alternative narrative to be able to see only what they want to see.
