Well said indeed, Credit where its due , its not often I agree with you , but I have no problem admitting it when I do, Personally I think there should be some sort of system in place where people like him ( celebrities and famous personalities etc) should face justice without their celebrity status being revealed. In an earlier hearing the judge uttered words to the effect that there was no doubt as to his character as he was known as man of the finest character (despite his "activities") I think it was when granting bail. He should have been referred to simply as MR H.E until after he was sentenced. and reporting restrictions put in place. although I understand its difficult these days -

False. Indoneasia is a representative democratic republic wherein the President is both Head of State and government and sustained through legislation by the electorate through free and fair election of their multi-party representatives. Singapore has a democratic parliamentary democratic system thriugh free and open election similar to Germany wherein the President is Head of State and the government and Cabinet is led by a Prime Minister as head of government. One need only look at the long-term stability and economic success of these two countries that shows they fair substantially better than their Southeast Asian undemocratic counterparts. -

Well said. There's almost zero comparison in terms of capability, operation and just about any other aspect you can name. You could say, the only thing these 3 agencies have in common, is Revenue in their name! -

Hello For your info there has been meetings with some embassies, representatives of TRD and expats in Bgk.. For sure one with swiss embassy.. one with french embassy.. Already it came out that the Thai version of the Thai french agreement and the french/English version has one very important word which were different (something like should on one side and could on the other one) and the TRD representative said for them the Thai version is the valid one.. The french authorities have required TRD to clarify their position.. no answer till date.. Again, if Thailand proceeds and enforces the law, it will take months/years to reach a settlement with the other country.. And again, now there are numerous countries with no double taxation agreements where residents still are charged especially by a lump sum on imported money or required to pay the difference between their taxes abroad and in their country of residence. Thank you for that. Over two decades in nursing and worked as a nurse in 3 different countries- NZ, Saudi and the UK. Stories indeed, hundreds if not thousands. Unfortunately there are as many horror stories as happy ones and not many comedies ( a few to be sure, but rare ). Nursing is not for the squeamish, or the easily offended. In NZ I met very few male nurses, and to be honest I didn't tell the guys in the military that I was going to be one as I'd have been mocked mercilessly. It wasn't till I got to the UK that we males were not uncommon, though very much a minority. Saudi was the most interesting what with the culture and everything, and I understand that nurses from at least 28 different countries were working there. No such thing as a Saudi nurse in the 90s, or at least that I met. Sorry to disappoint, but being a male nurse is not some avenue to endless sexual hijinks as per "Carry on Nurse" or Carry on Matron". Nursing is hard work, for little reward or thanks, and most of what nurses do is unseen by patients, so if ever in hospital, a thank you to the nurses is appreciated.- 1
