Kuwaiti Man Crashes into Thai Riders in Motorcycle Accident

In the early hours of yesterday morning, a Kuwaiti man riding a motorcycle against the traffic flow in Pattaya collided with another motorcycle carrying four Thai individuals, resulting in serious injuries.

 

The incident, which jolted the typically bustling streets of Pattaya, was reported to Mueang Pattaya Police Station at 5.46am on August 6. The collision took place on Pattaya Sai Sarm Road, commonly referred to as Chalermprakiat Road, in the Nongprue district.

 

When the authorities arrived, they discovered two severely damaged motorcycles — one orange and black and the other black and green. The orange and black motorcycle, carrying four Thai women, resulted in multiple injuries, with three women suffering critical wounds.

 

The Kuwaiti man, identified as 19-year-old Abdelaziz, was the rider of the black and green motorcycle. He also sustained serious injuries. A photo circulated on social media depicted Abdelaziz lying in his blood on the road, illustrating the severity of the crash.

 

Emergency responders administered first aid to all injured parties before transporting them to a nearby hospital. Details about their current condition have not yet been released by medical officials.

 

Pranee, a 27-year-old Thai woman who sustained only minor injuries, recounted the incident to the police. She explained that she and three friends were waiting at a traffic light when Abdelaziz, riding at high speed and against the flow of traffic, struck their stationary motorcycle.

 

The police have yet to finalise their investigation, as Abdelaziz remains unfit for questioning. Authorities plan to review security footage and gather additional evidence to understand fully the circumstances leading to the accident.

 

This incident follows growing concerns about reckless Kuwaiti motorcycle riders in Pattaya. Three weeks prior, locals in Soi Yen Sabai had urged police to take action against noisy Kuwaiti racers after an altercation disrupted traffic.

 

More recently, another troubling incident in the same area saw Kuwaiti men involved in a brawl with Thai riders, prompting police to begin deportation proceedings against those involved.

Been on a night out and rides back on the road the wrong way drunk.

If he's injured they can still do a blood test for alcohol.

The Thai people are such idiots when it comes to their very dangerous, stupid behavior on motorbikes. Its like they do not value their lives and care less about anyone else on the road.

OK so this is on #3 road where "Chalermphrakiat 19" meets it.

The girls said they were "stationary at the intersection" but what they really mean is they were probably on the lane divider, creeping into the oncoming traffic lane, while trying to cross from the #3 and head into Chalermphrakiat 19.

The Kuwaiti was in the oncoming lane (presumably legally) and probably racing and suddenly there's a scooter full of women pulling into the lane in front of him.

A very common event pretty much anywhere in the country at any time of the day. People want to cut across the road and start edging into the oncoming traffic waiting for the slightest gap so they can push into it a bit more and try to make the oncoming vehicles yield for them.

Chalermphrakiat 19 leads to Soi Buakhao and comes out right by the "Buakhao Market" at the big curve in the road (north of Tree Town).

The original story stated that the were turning into Chalermphrakiat 19....Now all of a sudden they were 'stationary at the junction'. A likely story...

Of course turning right from 3rd road into one of the Sois is an adventure of it's own even in daytime. And some excessive speeding bike riders don't make it easier.

Typical Thai move, they believe signaling means they can just go, everyone else should get out of their way.

I suppose 4 up on a motorcycle is not considered reckless due to them all being Thai?

Re; multiple riders on a motorbike, four is commonplace; I once saw 7, some of them children.

I lived and worked in Kuwait for 2 years.  This is what I saw firsthand. 

1) Kuwaitis drive like Allah will protect from just about anytning

2) The Kuwaiti men are like spoiled little boys with money.

3) This is how traffic laws enforced in the oil rich but small kingdom.  An Indian worker was walking down a sidewalk when he was run over and killed by a Kuwaiti driving a Porsche.  The Kuwaiti Police (this is an insult to the word Police) arrived and completed the investigation in about 10 minutes.  The Kuwaiti Police deemed the Indian was at a fault, the Inidans body was taken to a local hospital and Indian Embassy was notified.  The End.

4) I have never been back to Kuwait since then. 

Not surprised how many Kuwaiti men behave when they are LOS.  Once took a Qatar Airways flight from KWI-DOH-BKK.  When the flight left Kuwaiti airspace the Kuwaii's changed out of their "man dresses" and started demanding beer and more beer.  Also, they were very rude to the mostly Asian female flight attendants.
