Former First Lady Melania Trump has sharply criticized the FBI’s 2022 raid on Mar-a-Lago, expressing deep concern over what she described as an invasion of privacy and a threat to the freedoms of all Americans. In a video posted on social media Saturday morning, promoting her forthcoming memoir, Melania warned that the rights and freedoms guaranteed under the Constitution must be "respected."

Set to music and featuring images of the Trumps’ Florida estate, the video underscores her dissatisfaction with the federal agency’s actions. At one point, the text of the Fourth Amendment, which protects citizens against unreasonable searches and seizures, is prominently displayed. "I never imagined my privacy would be invaded by the government here in America," Melania Trump stated. "The FBI raided my home in Florida and searched through my personal belongings.

 

This is not just my story, it serves as a warning to all Americans, a reminder that our freedom and rights must be respected." The video concludes with an image of her upcoming memoir titled *Melania*, scheduled for release on October 1. The memoir promises to offer her perspective on a variety of personal and political events during and after her time as First Lady, with the Mar-a-Lago raid being a central focus.

 

Former President Donald Trump has also spoken out forcefully against the FBI’s actions, calling the raid politically motivated. During the search, FBI agents recovered more than 100 classified documents and folders. Trump is currently facing 40 charges relating to the alleged mishandling of classified records, as well as accusations of obstructing the government’s efforts to reclaim the sensitive material. 

 

However, in July, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed the case, ruling that special counsel Jack Smith had not been lawfully appointed. Smith has since appealed that decision, and the legal battle continues.

I mean, this is a terrible thing,” he remarked. "They go into her closet, they go through her dresses, and who knows what else, and it wasn’t left the way it—they found it."

If her husband wasn't engaged in illegal activities then her home would not have been raided.  It was done legally with DOJ approved search warrants.  

Yes, she has a book to sell and these videos will no doubt contribute to sales revenue. But there is also the possibility that he paid her to be vocal, thinking that it would help his losing campaign. By now, we know for certain that DJ Trump is not opposed to paying women for "services rendered".

Ms. Trump was so indignant about the FBI search that she waited over 2 years to express her disapproval.

Isn't the key word in the amendment "unreasonable".
